Qualifications

• Comply with health and safety legislation and academy policies.
• Meet the requirements of academy Performance Management Policy, including setting annual targets.
• Complete annual training in child protection, safeguarding and health and safety.
• Adhere to the academy staff dress code and wear photo identification.
• Follow the academy Acceptable Use Policy for computers.

Responsibilities

• Create a climate conducive to outstanding learning and teaching by identifying clear objectives, specifying teaching and assessment methods, and setting challenging tasks.
• Use performance data and indicators to inform planning and deliver differentiated learning matched to individual needs.
• Mark and monitor student work, set targets for progress and use data to ensure teaching adds value.
• Assess and record student progress systematically, keeping accurate records for planning and reporting.
• Undertake required assessments and prepare informative reports for parents.
• Contribute to subject development and whole-academy visioning with clear plans and success criteria.
