Dubai – Mid to Senior Level – Full-time Proprietary Trader - Macro Rates

AP Capital is a diversified investment firm trading globally in equities, commodities, FX, fixed income (bonds, credit, rates).

We adopt market-neutral strategies to minimize market turbulence impact and maximize investment potential.

Our goal is to provide risk-adjusted returns while enhancing liquidity.

We are seeking a Fixed Income / Rates Proprietary Trader focused on MENA (Saudi Arabia, Turkey, UAE, etc.) and GCC (Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, etc.).

This role is part of our newest division launched in 2023.

The successful candidate will develop and execute trading strategies, manage risk, and generate profits across rates and other asset classes.

Key Responsibilities

1. Develop and implement proprietary trading strategies focused on rates products, including interest rate futures, swaps, CDS, CDX, etc.
2. Conduct market analysis and research to identify trading opportunities for global macro strategies.
3. Execute trades efficiently, ensuring compliance with risk management protocols.
4. Monitor and manage portfolio risk, adjusting strategies to optimize performance.
5. Collaborate with traders, analysts, and risk teams to share insights and improve strategies.
6. Stay updated on market trends, economic indicators, and regulatory changes affecting interest rates.
7. Prepare reports on trading performance, market conditions, and strategy adjustments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or related field.
• Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., CFA, FRM) are a plus.
• Proven experience as a proprietary trader with a focus on credit and rates products.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Excellent risk management and decision-making skills with a proven track record.
• Proficiency in trading platforms and financial software.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team in a fast-paced environment.
