Qualifications

• Proven experience in a senior technical role such as Project Manager within the solar PV industry.
• Knowledge of DEWA and other local authority regulations as well as industry best practices for EPC execution and O&M in solar PV systems.
• Certified as a Senior Solar PV Expert by Dubai Electricity & Water Authority (DEWA).

Job description

Leadership & Team Development

Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team including site/project engineers Logistics coordinator document controllers etc.

Drive a culture of excellence continuous learning and innovation within the execution teams.

Identify skill gaps and implement structured training programs for team development.

Report regularly to senior management with updates on performance efficiency and improvement opportunities.

Foster effective collaboration between projects engineering operations and business functions.

Engineering & Design Management

Oversee the full-cycle design process for commercial and industrial solar PV systems (Rooftop Carport and ground-mounted).

Manage technical feasibility studies conceptual design detailed engineering and design validation.

Review electrical structural and civil designs to ensure code compliance bank ability and optimization.

Coordinate with OEMs manage subcontractors and vendors.

Maintain quality standards and deliverables in line with DEWA and other authority requirements.

Conduct equipment evaluation including technical spec comparisons warranty reviews and compatibility analysis.

Review and validate IFC drawings and as-built drawings against modeling assumptions.

Active participation in the development of technical proposals and bid documentation.

Projects & Construction Management

Oversee end-to-end project lifecycle from technical feasibility to final handover.

Manage client interactions ensuring clear communication and alignment on technical deliverables.

Support cross-functional coordination between engineering procurement construction and operations teams.

Prepare and present project progress reports to management.

Manage interactions with clients consultants EPC partners and subcontractors throughout execution stages.

Conduct site visits to monitor construction quality compliance and environmental/safety standards.

Ensure adherence to project timelines scope and contractual requirements through effective planning and supervision.

Review operational data from live projects to assess performance against projections and recommend corrective actions.

Review O&M team performance against projections and take necessary corrective action plans for optimization and catch up.

Coordinate monthly review of plant generation and billing details for clients.

Coordinate with/ support finance team for milestone invoicing for the projects and O&M.

Business Development & Strategic Initiatives

Contribute to strategic growth by streamlining project workflows introducing automation tools and improving design-to-execution handovers.

Build and maintain relationships with clients consultants and key stakeholders to position the company as a technical leader in the solar space.

Requirements

Required Qualifications & Skills

Proven experience in a senior technical role such as Project Manager within the solar PV industry.

Skilled in project planning and management software such as MS Office, MS Project, Primavera and CRM platforms.

Understanding of solar design and simulation tools including AutoCAD, SketchUp, PVsyst, Helioscope, SolarEdge Designer and HOMER.

Knowledge of DEWA and other local authority regulations as well as industry best practices for EPC execution and O&M in solar PV systems.

Demonstrated strength in leadership cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder engagement.

Certified as a Senior Solar PV Expert by Dubai Electricity & Water Authority (DEWA).

Bachelor s degree in Engineering discipline; Master s degree preferred.
