A major telecommunication company in Abu Dhabi seeks an experienced Project Manager to oversee telecom systems projects. The role requires 10+ years in low voltage and telecom systems, alongside strong skills in budgeting, technical oversight, and client management. Ideal candidates will come from a background with JCI/TYCO UAE experience and possess relevant certifications. The position emphasizes leadership in challenging environments.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in low voltage, security, and telecom systems.
- Experience with JCI/TYCO UAE and Oil & Gas projects is preferred.
- PMP, PRINCE2, or similar certifications are beneficial.
- Strong knowledge of low current systems such as Access Control, CCTV, LAN, VOIP, etc.

What you will do:
- Stakeholder & Client Management: Act as the main contact for clients and contractors. Lead meetings, resolve issues, and manage change requests.
- Project Initiation: Review scope and goals with Sales. Align project with client specs, HSE standards, and international codes. Prepare execution plan.
- Project Planning: Create detailed plans with timelines, resources, and budgets. Coordinate schedules and ensure alignment with contract terms.
- Team Leadership: Lead engineering and site teams. Assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure smooth communication.
- Budget & Cost Control: Manage budgets, track costs, and approve purchases. Forecast costs and handle scope changes.
- Technical Oversight: Review and approve designs. Ensure proper integration of telecom systems and resolve technical issues.
- Client Communication: Provide regular updates and reports. Manage expectations and ensure satisfaction.
- Risk Management: Identify risks, assess impact, and implement mitigation plans.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with standards. Oversee inspections, testing, and commissioning.
- Documentation & Reporting: records, prepare reports, and ensure audit‑ready documentation.
- Procurement & Vendor Management: Select vendors, manage procurement timelines, and ensure compliance with specs.
- Installation Supervision: Oversee telecom system installation in challenging environments. Coordinate with other disciplines.
- Regulatory & Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry and safety standards. Coordinate permits and inspections.
- Testing & Handover: Lead FAT/SAT and commissioning. Approve test procedures and manage client handover.
- Project Closure: Finalize handover, conduct reviews, and support warranty phase. Capture lessons learned.
What we look for:
Required:
- Degree in Electrical/ Electronics Engineering or similar.
- 10+ years of experience in low voltage, security, and telecom systems.
Preferred:
- Experience with JCI/TYCO UAE and Oil & Gas projects.
- PMP, PRINCE2, or similar certifications are a plus.
- Background in Telecom System Integration (TSI) is an advantage.
- Experience in EPC/FEED and ADNOC projects is beneficial.
- Strong knowledge of low current systems: Access Control, CCTV, LAN, VOIP, WiFi, Fire Detection, Intercom, PAGA, Radio (UHF/VHF), etc.
- Skilled in project planning, costing, and execution.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and team management skills.
- Able to prepare professional documents and client communications.
- Good understanding of contracts and vendor coordination.
