Job summary

A leading engineering firm is seeking a Project Manager in Dubai to lead a multidisciplinary team for a power plant project. Candidates should have over 15 years of experience, including at least 10 years in project management, with specific expertise in power plant consultants and EPC/EPCM contractors. GCC/UAE experience and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering are mandatory, while a Master's degree is an advantage. This is a full-time position and remote work is not allowed.

Key Responsibilities

• Leading and managing a multidisciplinary site team and direct contact with client project manager.
• Liaising daily with the Client and EPCM Contractor on technical legal and contractual matters.
• Overseeing the development and implementation of the power plant project.
• Handling all contractual and commercial aspects of the project.
• Coordinating works to ensure compliance with contract specifications within the project schedule.
• Monitoring project progress and addressing any delays.
• Approving key deliverables and making technical and commercial decisions.
• Initiating contract changes and claims against contractors.

Qualifications

• Experience with power plant consultants EPC/EPCM contractors and gas turbine OEMs.
• Experience in tendering contracts and plant performance in the Middle East.
• Proven track record of sitebased project .
• Broad project management knowledge.
• 15 years of relevant professional experience including 10 years as a Project Manager.
• Consultancy experience as a Project Manager for 350 MW and above will be an added advantage.
• GCC/UAE experience is mandatory.
• Bachelors degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is mandatory; a Masters degree in the power sector is an advantage.
• PMP certification is an advantage.
• European nationality is mandatory.
