About the Role
We are looking for a Project Manager to join the PMO and take full ownership of assigned projects from initiation through implementation, business validation and closure. The role requires someone who is hands on, proactive and comfortable driving multiple teams, stakeholders and external providers. The Project Manager is expected to keep work moving, follow up on commitments, identify risks early and escape when delivery is at risk.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage assigned projects from initiation through delivery, validation and formal closure, ensuring scope, timelines, quality and agreed outcomes are met.
- Drive execution across Development, Business Intelligence, Studio, Sales, Operations, Compliance and other supporting teams.
- Confirm owners and deadlines, follow up on open actions and remove or escape blockers.
- Maintain clear visibility of project progress, milestones, dependencies, risks and delivery dates. Identify potential delays early and put mitigation or recovery actions in place.
- Own stakeholder communication throughout the project lifecycle, including decisions, approvals, feedback, actions and final sign off.
- Manage day to day delivery with external vendors and service providers. Follow up on commitments, challenge delays and escape non delivery or quality concerns when needed.
- Coordinate project and operational issues through to resolution, making sure the right teams are involved and ownership is maintained until the issue is closed.
- Coordinate business testing, user acceptance testing and post release validation. A release is not considered complete until the expected outcome has been checked and accepted by the relevant stakeholder.
- Maintain accurate project records in the PMO tools, including status, timelines, decisions, risks, dependencies, actions and implementation outcomes.
- Provide clear and timely project updates to management, including risks, delays, business impact, required decisions and revised delivery dates where applicable.
- Drive projects through to proper closure, ensuring acceptance criteria are met, remaining actions are handed over or resolved, and project documentation is updated.
What We Expect
- Strong ownership and accountability. Routine follow up and coordination should be managed independently without repeated prompting from line management.
- A proactive approach to planning. Identify next steps, dependencies, risks and required decisions in advance rather than waiting for instructions.
- No surprises. Material risks, missed commitments, stakeholder delays and supplier issues should be raised early enough for corrective action to be taken.
- Strong stakeholder management, with the confidence to challenge delays, obtain decisions and keep different teams aligned around delivery priorities.
- Good discipline around PMO governance and reporting, with accurate and current information available to management.
- Ability to manage several projects and deadlines at the same time while keeping clear visibility of priorities, risks and outstanding actions.
Qualifications & Experience
- 4+ years of project management experience, preferably in fintech, financial services or another technology driven environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Technology or a related field. A Master's degree is an advantage.
- Experience managing cross functional projects involving business and technical teams.
- Good understanding of project management methodologies, including Agile, Scrum and Waterfall.
- Experience managing external technology or service providers against agreed milestones and timelines.
- Experience with formal project reporting, governance routines and senior management communication.
- Experience coordinating testing, business validation and stakeholder acceptance after implementation or release.
- Strong organizational, analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with project management tools such as Monday.com, Jira or similar platforms.
- PMP, PRINCE2, Agile or similar certification is an advantage.
