Job summary

Vanguard in Dubai seeks a Project Manager / Emergency Towage Coordinator to support salvage and emergency towage projects from a shore-based team, coordinating the logistics, commercial needs and communications for each case.

Ideal candidates have strong experience in Fleet Operations, Marine Operations, Towage or Offshore Operations, and can coordinate vessels, tugs, ports, agents and contractors while maintaining operations under pressure.

Qualifications

• Experience in Fleet Operations, Marine Operations, Vessel Operations or Offshore Operations.
• Strong coordination and communication skills across multiple stakeholders.
• Ability to manage time-critical marine operations and salvage/towage projects.
• Knowledge of marine contracts and offshore mobilization is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate vessel and tug mobilization, scheduling, logistics, and operational requirements.
• Liaise with Salvage Master, tug operators, vessel owners, agents, clients, insurers and subcontractors.
• Coordinate emergency towage arrangements and monitor readiness.
• Lead daily coordination calls and ensure alignment on priorities and next steps.
• Monitor subcontractor mobilization, costs, and project requirements.
• Maintain situation reports, case logs and supporting documentation.
• Support cost tracking, invoicing, variations and project close-out.
• Identify issues early and escalate to management.

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager / Emergency Towage Coordinator with a strong background in Fleet Operations, Marine Operations, Towage, Offshore Operations, or Salvage Support.

The role will support active salvage and emergency towage projects, coordinating the shore-side operational, logistical, commercial, and communication requirements of each case.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate vessel and tug mobilization, scheduling, agents, logistics, and operational requirements
• Liaise with the Salvage Master, tug operators, vessel owners, agents, clients, insurers, and subcontractors
• Coordinate emergency towage arrangements and monitor operational readiness
• Lead daily coordination calls and keep all parties aligned on priorities and next steps
• Monitor subcontractor mobilization, performance, costs, and project requirements
• Maintain operational updates, situation reports, case logs, and supporting documentation
• Support cost tracking, invoicing, contractual variations, and project close-out
• Identify operational or logistical issues early and escalat to management

What We’re Looking For:

• Strong previous experience in Fleet Operations, Marine Operations, Vessel Operations, Towage Operations, or Offshore Operations
• Experience coordinating vessels, tugs, ports, agents, and marine contractors
• Good understanding of vessel mobilization and time-critical marine operations
• Salvage, emergency response, casualty management, or emergency towage experience is highly advantageous
• Knowledge of LOF, SCOPIC, WRECKHIRE, TOWHIRE, TOWCON, or similar marine contracts is an advantage
• Strong coordination, communication, and reporting skills
• Ability to work under pressure and remain available outside normal working hours during active cases

This is a shore-based position in Dubai and would suit an experienced Fleet or Marine Operations professional who is comfortable managing multiple stakeholders during fast-moving maritime operations.
