Job summary

Egis Group in Abu Dhabi seeks an experienced Project Engineer to plan, execute and coordinate marine EPC construction projects. You will manage engineering procurement, subcontractors, and site construction to deliver safely on time and within budget.

Ideal candidate has 8–12 years of UAE/GCC marine construction experience,熟 with piling, dredging, reclamation and quay walls, and strong QA/QC/HSE knowledge. This is a full-time on-site role in the UAE.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor-level engineering degree in Civil or Marine Engineering or related field.
  • 8–12 years of UAE/GCC marine construction experience preferred.
  • Experience with marine EPC projects including piling, dredging, reclamation, quay walls.
  • Familiarity with FIDIC contract conditions is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of QA/QC, HSE, and project controls.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee marine construction project execution.
  • Review submittals, shop drawings, method statements, and approvals.
  • Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions.
  • Support procurement of materials and subcontractor requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with specifications, QA/QC, HSE standards.
  • Participate in planning, resource allocation, and scheduling.
  • Prepare progress reports and project documentation.
  • Assist in managing interfaces and resolve technical issues.
  • Support commercial matters including variations and claims.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to support the planning execution and coordination of marine EPC construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing engineering procurement subcontractor coordination and site construction activities to ensure projects are delivered safely on time within budget and in compliance with quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and oversee the execution of marine construction projects including piling dredging reclamation quay walls jetties breakwaters and other marine infrastructure works.
  • Review and prepare technical submittals shop drawings method statements material approvals and engineering documentation.
  • Coordinate with clients consultants subcontractors suppliers and internal project teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Monitor project progress identify potential risks and implement corrective actions to maintain project schedules and objectives.
  • Support procurement activities by evaluating materials equipment and subcontractor requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications contract requirements QA/QC procedures and HSE standards.
  • Participate in project planning resource allocation and construction sequencing activities.
  • Prepare progress reports site records technical correspondences and project status updates.
  • Assist in managing project interfaces and resolving technical and construction-related issues.
  • Support commercial and contractual matters including variations claims and project documentation.
  • Attend meetings with stakeholders and provide technical guidance to site teams.
Qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering Marine Engineering or related discipline.
  • Minimum 8-12 years of experience in marine construction projects preferably within the UAE/GCC.
  • Proven experience in the execution of marine EPC projects involving piling dredging reclamation quay walls jetties breakwaters and similar marine infrastructure works.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methodologies engineering principles and project coordination.
  • Experience in preparing and reviewing technical submittals method statements material approvals and project reports.
  • Good understanding of project controls scheduling QA/QC HSE requirements and commercial aspects of construction projects.
  • Familiarity with FIDIC contract conditions is preferred.
  • Strong communication organizational problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software.
  • Valid UAE Driving License
