Job summary

Client of Redfish Solutions in Dubai seeks an experienced Design Project Manager to lead landmark architectural projects from concept to construction. You will manage design programmes, budgets and coordination across architectural, structural, MEP, façade and landscape teams, while serving as the main contact for clients.

The role requires a proactive PM with international exposure, passion for design quality and the ability to coordinate across time zones.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in architecture or built environment sector with 5+ years in design PM or senior architect role.
• GCC experience, ideally in Dubai, with understanding of local authority approvals.
• Experience managing large-scale mixed-use, high-rise, hospitality or commercial projects.
• PM qualification (e.g. PMP, APM) advantageous.
• Proficiency in project management and collaboration tools; working knowledge of Revit and BIM.

Responsibilities

• Lead design projects from concept through construction documentation and site stages.
• Develop and maintain design programmes, resource plans and fee budgets; track progress.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary design teams including architectural, structural, MEP, façade and landscape.
• Act as main client contact, managing expectations, scope and communication.
• Manage design risk, change control and scope variations; ensure fee recovery where appropriate.
• Oversee design quality deliverables and submissions with local authorities for approvals.
• Work with design directors to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery to high design standards.
• Support international teams coordinating across time zones and offices as needed.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of PM processes and best practices.

We are seeking an experienced Design Project Manager to join a leading international architectural practice based in Dubai This is an excellent opportunity for a delivery-focused professional with an architectural background to take charge of the design programme budget and coordination on landmark projects across the region and beyond

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the management of design projects from concept through to construction documentation and site stages
• Develop and maintain design programmes resource plans and fee budgets tracking progress and reporting to directors and clients
• Coordinate multidisciplinary design teams including architectural structural MEP fa ade and landscape consultants
• Act as the main point of contact for clients managing expectations scope and communication throughout the project lifecycle
• Manage design risk change control and scope variations ensuring fee recovery where appropriate
• Oversee design quality deliverables and submissions including approvals with local authorities
• Work closely with design directors and project teams to ensure projects are delivered on time on budget and to a high design standard
• Support international project teams coordinating across time zones and offices where required
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of project management processes and best practice across the studio

Requirements

• Minimum 10+ years of experience in the architecture or built environment sector, with at least 5 years in a design project management or senior project architect role
• Architectural qualification is preferred, along with international chartership such as RIBA or AIA
• Proven experience managing large-scale mixed-use, high-rise, hospitality or commercial projects
• Previous GCC experience, ideally in Dubai, with a strong understanding of local authority approval processesStrong knowledge of design stages, consultant coordination and construction procurement routes
• Commercial awareness, including experience managing fees, resourcing and project profitability
• Project management qualification (e.g. PMP, APM or equivalent) is advantageous
• Proficiency in project management and collaboration tools, with a working knowledge of Revit and BIM coordination processes
• Excellent communication, negotiation and leadership skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
