Job description

Archireef restores degraded marine ecosystems and delivers biodiversity net gain strategies for corporations across sectors including construction, real estate, finance, and more. Our solutions sit at a junction of eco-engineering, material science and data analysis. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a result-driven and experienced Project Manager to join our team.

The Project Manager will oversee complex projects from concept to completion, coordinating cross-functional teams, managing technical field operations, and engaging a diverse range of stakeholders, including government bodies, corporate partners, and scientific collaborators. This position demands exceptional skill in navigating large-scale enterprise projects where scopes can be abstract, specifications may evolve, and diplomatic negotiation is as critical as technical delivery.

Job Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Delivery
  • Lead the planning, execution, and monitoring of multi-location marine restoration projects, ensuring delivery within agreed scope, timelines, budgets, and contractual obligations.
  • Interpret and translate abstract contractual clauses into clear, actionable scopes; proactively seek and document client clarifications to mitigate risk.
  • Manage variation orders, claims, and contractual disputes in alignment with company interests, including mitigation of liquidated damages exposure.
  • Coordinate with field teams, field supervisors, scientists, engineers, and government-appointed logistical providers to ensure seamless execution.
  • Oversee end-to-end deliverables - from site feasibility assessments to final client handover - ensuring quality and compliance with relevant environmental, safety, and regulatory requirements.
Client & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, including enterprise clients, regulators, consultants, research partners, and local communities.
  • Navigate complex multi-tiered client–consultant–contractor relationships, balancing assertive contract enforcement with diplomatic stakeholder management.
  • Apply cultural sensitivity when working with local enterprise and government stakeholders, ensuring respectful and effective communication.
  • Facilitate clear and timely communication across technical, operational, and executive teams; anticipate client needs, manage expectations, and maintain alignment on deliverables.
  • Represent the company at client meetings, industry forums, and regulatory briefings.
Operational & Resource Management
  • Direct allocation and coordination of resources, including personnel, contractors, and logistical assets.
  • Align cross-functional contributions (engineering, field operations, scientific teams) under unified project goals.
  • Develop and manage budgets with attention to cost control and value creation for the client.
  • Ensure meticulous documentation of all project communications, decisions, and change requests.
  • Streamline workflows and reporting processes using digital project management tools.
Risk, Compliance & Quality Assurance
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks across technical, operational, contractual, and reputational dimensions.
  • Ensure strict adherence to environmental regulations, marine conservation standards, and client-specific compliance protocols.
  • Maintain audit-ready records for all project activities, communications, and contractual commitments.
  • Lead internal and external project reviews, incorporating lessons learned into continuous improvement processes.
  • Implement quality assurance procedures to ensure all deliverables meet or exceed contractual and scientific standards.
Education & Experience
  • 8+ years leading large-scale, multi-stakeholder projects, ideally within environmental technology, infrastructure, or conservation sectors.
  • Strong track record in client-facing delivery with enterprise and/or government partners.
  • Expert in planning, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management for complex projects.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Familiarity with project management processes and software (e.g. Odoo).
  • Professional certification in project management (e.g., PRINCE2®, PMP®) strongly preferred, with demonstrated ability to apply structured methodologies to ambiguous, evolving project scopes.
