Job summary

A leading engineering firm in the UAE is seeking an experienced MEP Project Manager to oversee construction projects from initiation to handover. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and a minimum of 10 years of project management experience, with strong knowledge of UAE regulations. Immediate availability is required for this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in MEP project management with at least 5 years in the UAE/GCC construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of UAE regulations (DEWA, ADDC and other local authority requirements).
• Proven experience in managing MEP works for high-rise buildings, commercial or infrastructure projects.
• Proficient in project management tools and MS Office; certification is an advantage.
• Excellent communication, leadership and negotiation skills.
• Must be currently residing in the UAE.
• Must be available to join immediately.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the full lifecycle of MEP works on construction projects from initiation to handover.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors and subcontractors to ensure project specifications and timelines are met.
• Review MEP design drawings, shop drawings and material submittals to ensure compliance with project and local authority standards.
• Plan and monitor project schedules, budgets and resources to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
• Supervise site execution and ensure that all MEP activities adhere to project specifications, safety standards and quality requirements.
• Manage procurement schedules for MEP systems and materials.
• Conduct regular site inspections and lead project progress meetings.
• Prepare and submit progress reports, variation orders and project documentation.
• Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, codes and safety protocols.
