Job summary

As a Project Estimator in Dubai, you will develop costed proposals, BoQs and budgets for museums, theaters, and large events, working closely with PMs, procurement and planning teams to ensure cost accuracy and value engineering throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Degree/qualifications in Construction Management, Architecture, Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying.
• Strong experience in cost control, estimation and BoQ preparation during tendering phases.
• Experience estimating interior fit-out projects with market pricing understanding.
• Understanding of cost planning and tendering processes.
• Knowledge of German VOB is an advantage; proficiency in Excel and Office is essential.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong analytical, detail-oriented and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and project budgets for interior fit-out, live events and scenic construction packages.
• Develop concise Bills of Quantities (BoQs) and structured work packages during tendering.
• Analyse and benchmark subcontractor quotations for competitive pricing.
• Carry out value engineering with the Technical Planning team to optimise costs while preserving design intent.
• Review and evaluate subcontractor variations and change requests.
• Collaborate with Project Management, Procurement, Technical Planning, and estimators throughout the project lifecycle.

Your mission

As a Project Estimator with a focus on interior fit-out, exhibitions, and scenic construction, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of complex exhibition and interior fit-out projects. You will ensure cost accuracy, transparency, and efficiency from the tender phase through to project completion. In this role, you will work closely with Project Management, Procurement, Technical Planning, and Estimation team responsible for various disciplines such as fit-out, scenic and AV.

Your mission

As a Project Estimator with a focus on interior fit-out, exhibitions, and scenic construction, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of complex exhibition and interior fit-out projects. You will ensure cost accuracy, transparency, and efficiency from the tender phase through to project completion. In this role, you will work closely with Project Management, Procurement, Technical Planning, and Estimation team responsible for various disciplines such as fit-out, scenic and AV.

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and project budgets, primarily for interior fit-out, live events and exhibitions, and scenic construction packages for projects such as museums, theaters, medium and large scale events, performance and entertainment venues.
• Develop concise Bills of Quantities (BoQs) and structured work packages during the tendering phase.
• Analyse and benchmark subcontractor quotations to ensure competitive pricing and optimum commercial value.
• Carry out value engineering exercises in collaboration with the Technical Planning team to optimise costs while maintaining design intent and quality standards.
• Review and evaluate subcontractor variations and change requests.
• Work closely with Project Management, Procurement, Technical Planning, and other estimators throughout the project lifecycle.

Your profile

• Degree/educational qualification in Construction Management, Architecture, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field, alongside proven experience as an Estimator and/or Project Controller on projects involving interior fit-out, scenic works, stage builds, AV, or other relevant scopes within turnkey production projects in the exhibitions, events, and entertainment sector.
• Strong experience in cost control, estimation and the preparation of Bills of Quantities (BoQs) during tendering phases.
• Experience estimating interior fit-out projects, with a solid understanding of market pricing and cost structures.
• Sound understanding of cost planning and tendering processes.
• Knowledge of the German Construction Contract Procedures (VOB) is an advantage.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent negotiation and problem-solving abilities.
