Job Description
  • Review project specifications and MEP drawings to design automation and BMS solutions for lighting, HVAC, shading, and other systems.
  • Prepare technical material submittals, compliance statements, and documentation for consultant/client approval.
  • Support product selection based on project requirements, compatibility, availability, and budget constraints.
  • Assist in cost estimation and BOQ preparation during the pre‑sales or tendering phase.
  • Develop detailed control schematics, device addressing plans, cable schedules, and panel layouts.
  • Program and configure KNX devices, wireless (e.g., sensors, actuators, keypads) and BMS controllers with necessary logic and functions & ELV System (CCTV, WAP, BGM, ACS, Door Intercom, etc.).
  • Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and internal teams for system integration and implementation.
  • Supervise site execution, ensuring correct cabling, device installation, and adherence to control drawings.
  • Conduct pre‑commissioning and functional testing of automation systems, including third‑party system interfaces (BACnet, Modbus, DALI).
  • Carry out final testing, commissioning, and handover, documentation, training, and system backups.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, Automation, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2-5 years of hands‑on experience in home automation, lighting control systems, guest room management systems, building management systems (BMS), and ELV systems.
  • Practical knowledge and certifications in KNX, DALI, BACnet, Modbus, ZigBee, Z‑Wave, or platforms like Siemens, Schneider, ABB, Honeywell, etc. are a strong advantage.
  • Experience in material selection, BOQ preparation, estimation, and technical submittal documentation.
  • Ability to review and work from MEP drawings, wiring diagrams, and control schematics.
  • Skilled in system programming, device configuration, testing, pre‑commissioning, and final commissioning.
  • Strong understanding of low‑voltage systems and third‑party integration via BACnet/Modbus protocols.
  • Good command of tools like ETS (for KNX), DALI tools, BMS software suites, AutoCAD, and MS Office.
  • Certifications in KNX, DALI, or BMS platforms, ELV (e.g., Siemens, ABB, Schneider, Honeywell, etc.) are a strong plus.
  • Excellent technical troubleshooting, documentation, and coordination skills.
  • Valid UAE driver's license.
