Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. in Dubai is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to support the Project Manager for the Middle East region.

You will be based in Dubai and contribute to the growth of our Security Systems business through design, execution, and pre‑sales support. You will conduct site surveys, coordinate with subcontractors, and ensure compliance with QA/QC, client needs, and contractual obligations.

Qualifications

• 6–8 years of project engineering experience in execution of low voltage physical security systems in UAE.
• Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
• Strong cost estimation and project planning abilities.
• Ability to prepare professional documents for clients and internal use.
• Understanding of contractual documents and obligations.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute security system projects (Access Control, CCTV, Intercom, Gate Barrier, Intrusion).
• Carry out site surveys for assigned territory and coordinate with subcontractors.
• Prepare, schedule, coordinate and monitor assigned engineering projects.
• Ensure compliance with codes, QA/QC policies, and client requirements.

What you will do

The Project Engineer is a key role directly reporting to Project Manager for Middle East region. You will be based in Dubai and will be a part of a growing team and be responsible for driving the growth of business for Security Systems.

You will be supporting the project management team on designing and execution of projects. As a member of this team, you will work within a vibrant environment that provides a platform for you to use your experience to support the team with the pre-sales/estimation.

How you will do it

As an Experienced Project Engineer, you need to have a good knowledge in designing and project execution of physical security systems solution involving Access control/CCTV, Intercom, Network and associated peripherals. You will carry out site surveys for the assigned territory and involve subcontractors for installation works.

As a Project Engineer you will prepare, schedule, coordinate and monitor the assigned engineering projects,

Monitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications and you will interact daily with the clients to interpret their needs and requirements and represent them in the field

What we look for

• Bachelor Degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering or Similar Discipline from a reputable university.
• Minimum of 6-8 years project engineering experience in execution of low voltage physical security systems in UAE.
• Comprehensive knowledge of large physical security systems including Access Control, CCTV, Intercom, Gate Barrier, Intrusion Systems, etc.
• Good interpersonal, negotiation, team management and influencing skills.
• Excellent analytical, strategic conceptual thinking and planning, project costing and execution skills.
• Determine cost estimate targets during the design and development process, recommending cost effective solutions.
• Proven ability to produce high quality and impactful professional documents for clients and internal use.
• Clear understanding of Contractual documents/obligations and preparation of official communications with Client/ Vendors.
• Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
