Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Abu Dhabi seeks a qualified MEP Engineer with significant experience in the UAE/GCC. You will oversee installations, ensure compliance with safety and quality standards, and coordinate with various stakeholders. Candidates must have a relevant degree and 8+ years of construction experience. Immediate availability is required.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in MEP construction, including 5 in UAE/GCC.
  • Solid understanding of MEP systems in commercial and residential projects.
  • Familiarity with local authority requirements (DEWA, ADDC).
  • Currently residing in the UAE and available to join immediately.

  • Assist Project Manager in MEP-related construction activities.
  • Supervise on-site MEP installations including HVAC and plumbing.
  • Coordinate with consultants and contractors to resolve technical issues.

Job description
Job Responsibilities
  • Assist the Project Manager in planning, executing and delivering MEP-related construction activities.
  • Supervise on-site MEP installations including HVAC, plumbing, drainage, fire fighting and electrical systems.
  • Coordinate with consultants, contractors and other engineering disciplines to ensure timely resolution of technical issues.
  • Review MEP drawings, shop drawings and material submittals for compliance with project specifications and local regulations.
  • Ensure work is executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications and quality standards.
  • Monitor and track project progress, report issues or delays and propose corrective actions.
  • Ensure adherence to safety standards and participate in risk assessments and toolbox talks.
  • Participate in site inspections, testing and commissioning of MEP systems.
  • Maintain proper documentation including daily site reports, material logs and correspondence with stakeholders.
Key Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 8 years of overall experience in MEP construction with at least 5 years in the UAE/GCC.
  • Solid understanding of MEP systems installation and coordination in commercial, residential and infrastructure projects.
  • Familiarity with local authority requirements (DEWA, ADDC, SEWA, Civil Defense, etc.).
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office and project tracking tools.
  • Strong problem‑solving, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be currently residing in the UAE.
  • Can join immediately.
