Sulzer is seeking a Project Engineer to lead rotating equipment and gas turbine service projects from our Abu Dhabi facility. You will manage repairs, coordinate with customers and internal teams, and ensure safe, on-time delivery within budget.

The role requires strong communication, planning and field experience with gas turbines, including vendor interactions and site work in onshore/offshore environments. PMP/APM would be advantageous.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a recognised technical apprenticeship.
• Formal Project Management certification (PMP or APM or equivalent).
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in rotating equipment MRO.
• Technical knowledge of Rolls-Royce gas turbine equipment.
• Experience in gas turbine site environments onshore and offshore.
• Ability to interpret and understand engineering drawings and technical documentation.

Responsabilidades

• Develop, monitor and update project plans for rotating equipment and gas turbine service projects.
• Coordinate with customers, suppliers and internal teams to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
• Provide technical and commercial support throughout the project lifecycle.
• Translate contractual requirements into technical instructions and manage scope changes.
• Maintain ERP system with project information and generate progress and cost reports.
• Lead customer communications, post-handover activity and contract administration.

About the role

Sulzer is looking for a Project Engineer to join our team and support the successful delivery of rotating equipment and gas turbine service projects In this role you will be responsible for managing repair and overhaul projects for rotating equipment and gas turbines ensuring projects are delivered safely on time and within budget You will work closely with customers suppliers and internal teams to coordinate project activities monitor progress and provide technical and commercial support throughout the project lifecycle

• The Project Engineer will be based in our Kizad Facility in Abu Dhabi
• Act as the sole responsible person for all customer communication and commercials post-handover and in the event of a contract being a long-term agreement for its duration Ensure commercial coverage Purchase order contract is in place for ongoing works and work to realize additional works where possible Liaise with the customer and commercial sales teams to ensure deliverables are clearly identified and understood
• Develop update and monitor project plans to ensure smooth workflow through the workshop Compile quotations for customers under contract for minor repairs and overhauls in collaboration with the commercial and sales teams Compile quotations for additional works identified through inspection Compile comprehensive progress and technical reports Ensure ERP system is kept up to date with all project information Translation of contractual requirements into technical instructions Monitoring and agreeing scope changes with the customer Facilitation of proactive and reactive technical support Monitor project costs and report expected cost overruns in a timely manner Provide finance with instruction to invoice on completion of works Conduct customer site visits Conduct scheduled reviews with customers of contract KPI s Hosting customers and the provision of corporate entertainment
• Support the development of Company standard documentation Lead and perform customer complaint NCR s including RCA s and implementation of resulting preventative actions

Education Desirable

• Bachelor s degree in Engineering or completion of a recognised technical apprenticeship
• Formal Project Management certification PMP APM or equivalent

Knowledge amp Technical Requirements

• Technical knowledge of Rolls-Royce gas turbine equipment within the company s core service offering Practical experience working within gas turbine site environments both onshore and offshore Ability to interpret and understand engineering drawings and technical documentation

Competencies Required

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Strong organisational and planning skills. Ability to prioritise workloads and manage competing deadlines. Working knowledge of industrial gas turbines, power turbines and associated equipment. Adaptable and capable of working independently while contributing effectively as part of a team. Strong team player with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments and with external stakeholders. Willingness and ability to work away from home when required while maintaining effective communication with Head Office. Minimum of 5 years' experience within the rotating equipment MRO industry.
