Job Purpose
The Project Electrical Engineer (Design Coordination & Auxiliary Systems) will be responsible for ensuring technical alignment with coordination among the other engineering team members including site engineers for interface with engineering and timely execution including engineering coordination with vendors for station auxiliary systems, cable interconnection schedules.

The Project Electrical Engineer will coordinate internal and external interfaces to ensure seamless integration of system design, field execution, and stakeholder collaboration.

Roles & Responsibilities
LVAC/DC Systems Coordination:
- Review and validate LVAC and DC system designs.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, standards and Owner/Engineer requirements to obtain approvals.
- Coordinate with Electrical/MEP/Civil design teams for load calculations, schemes, and equipment sizing.
- Interface with vendors for LVAC/DC panels, UPS systems, batteries, and chargers.
Cable Interconnections:
- Develop and manage cable interconnection diagrams for the complete station.
- Coordinate cable schedules, termination details, and interface points between systems.
Site Works Interface:
- Act as the engineering point of contact for site execution teams.
- Resolve technical queries and site issues related to LVAC/DC systems and cabling.
- Ensure engineering deliverables are aligned with construction sequences and site readiness.
- Participate in site inspections and quality checks.
Project Coordination and Support:
Engineering Deliverables Management:
- Track and manage engineering documents (drawings, datasheets, specifications).
- Coordinate interdisciplinary reviews and approvals.
- Ensure timely submission of deliverables to the client and construction teams.
Interface with Project Manager:
- Provide technical support and updates to the Project Manager.
- Assist in planning, risk assessment, and progress reporting.
- Highlight engineering risks and propose mitigation strategies.
Stakeholder Coordination:
- Liaise with clients, consultants, vendors, and subcontractors for interface on this project such as OHL & Cable works.
- Facilitate coordination meetings and technical workshops.
- Ensure alignment between design intent and site execution.
Qualifications & Experience
Educational Qualification:
- Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, with a minimum of 10+ years of relevant experience as a Project Electrical Engineer in handling 400 kV GIS projects from the energy & power industry in the GCC/UAE.
Skills & Knowledge:
- Support procurement by reviewing technical offers and vendor documents.
- Participate in FAT (Factory Acceptance Tests) and SAT (Site Acceptance Tests).
- Ensure compliance with HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) standards during engineering and site activities.
- Maintain engineering logs, change records, and red-line markups for as-built documentation.
- Strong presentation and communication skills with the ability to present complex, technical information to a wide audience.
- High competence in technical writing, systems development and utilization.
