Job Responsibilities

  • Contribute towards achieving the regional budget in a complex region, with budget accountability for operational areas, market sectors, or project portfolios.
  • Collaborate across multi-discipline projects to consolidate information and share insights within the region.
  • Influence the development of the Business Group's business plan.
  • Provide direction to project managers, team leaders, and stakeholders to ensure successful project or program delivery.
  • Accountable for the time, cost, and quality performance of projects and programs.
  • Manage functional or operational processes in a complex region, possibly including dotted-line management.
  • Implement and improve policies, processes, and procedures, considering local legislation, global standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Prioritize and leverage solutions developed across projects and clients for regional and broader benefit.
  • Approve new solutions, technologies, or service offerings to address market changes and competitive activity.
  • Utilize expertise and global methodologies to solve highly complex, unprecedented problems.
  • Serve as the technical lead for high-profile, complex, multi-field projects, overseeing all phases.
  • Act as a trusted advisor within GHD and externally to clients and industry bodies.
  • Manage and develop team members, including performance evaluations, training, staffing, and engagement.
  • Communicate project strategies and goals to teams and stakeholders.
  • Work independently in complex situations, guided by organizational strategies and regional plans.

Technical skills and experience required

  • Minimum 20 years of industry experience, with at least 5 years in the UAE preferred.
  • Professional registrations such as CIOB, RICS, or CIBSE are preferred.
  • Degree in built environment-related subjects is preferred.
  • Experience with consultancy work in pre- and post-contract phases for properties and buildings is advantageous.
  • Experience managing a major project portfolio covering construction management and multi-disciplinary design.
