Project Director

Dubai, UAE

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Project Director join our team! In this role, you'll oversee all aspects of the projects, including business, technical, financial, and administrative functions, ensuring the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

What You'll be Doing:
  • Develop and implement the project management plan, including establishing and managing the baseline schedule to ensure timely and successful project delivery.

  • Act as the primary point of contact with clients, addressing queries, leading contract negotiations, providing strategic advice, and making presentations to ensure client satisfaction and alignment with project goals.

  • Provide regular updates to senior management on project revenue, profitability, and overall performance, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

  • Lead efforts to drive operational efficiency in project delivery, identifying opportunities to optimize resources and streamline processes.

  • Develop and manage a robust change management plan, identify potential changes, handle Variation Order requests, negotiate settlements, and ensure that all modifications are effectively implemented.

  • Oversee the issuance and timely payment of project invoices, ensuring compliance with contractual terms and financial targets.

  • Ensure strict adherence to Parsons’ procedures, including QA/QC standards, safety regulations, and industry best practices throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Review and negotiate contracts with subconsultants and contractors, ensuring that terms are favorable and aligned with project objectives.

  • Lead, motivate, and manage the project team, providing clear direction, setting expectations, and ensuring all tasks are performed to the highest standard.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering from a reputable institution

  • A minimum of 20 years of proven experience in project management, with a strong track record in delivering large-scale infrastructure projects on time and within budget.

  • In-depth knowledge and practical experience in applying Project Management principles, methodologies, and best practices (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2).

  • Strong proactive mindset with exceptional problem-solving abilities, capable of identifying challenges early and implementing effective solutions.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and project teams at all levels.
