Job summary

BeWunder in Dubai seeks a seasoned Project Director to lead the delivery of complex live events and spatial experiences across the Middle East. You will shape business plans, guide a multi‑disciplinary team, and ensure scalable, profitable project execution from concept to completion.

You will collaborate with senior leaders, drive standardised workflows, manage budgets, and cultivate client relationships while expanding BeWunder's regional footprint in a fast‑growing international setting.

Qualifications

• Extensive project management experience in turnkey delivery, including AV/land installations for events.
• Strong understanding of technical, business, and contractual aspects.
• Proven ability to manage large budgets and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide vision and leadership for the event management team.
• Deliver on business plan targets and growth strategy for the Event Production unit.
• Set objectives, OKRs and performance standards for the project portfolio.
• Coordinate with other Project Directors to align strategies and processes.
• Lead planning, execution, and delivery of projects with quality and profitability.
• Maintain client relationships and act as senior client-facing representative.
• Oversee scheduling, budgeting, risk assessment and resources.
• Ensure health, safety and quality standards with QHSE.
• Standardise workflows and drive knowledge sharing across regions.
• Develop and nurture subcontractor and vendor partnerships.
• Drive financial discipline and profitability strategies.
• Translate market trends into improved processes and future planning.

Your missionTheProject Directoris responsible for driving the successful delivery of projects while actively contributing to the creation and execution of the business plan for future projects.

This role goes beyond project leadership - its aboutstrategically shaping our global presencewith a primary focus on the Middle East ensuringoperational excellence and contributing directly to thelong-term growth targetsof the Event Production unit.

Working closely with theDirectorofEventProduction BUand the widerleadershipteam the Project Director will translate the business plans into actionable initiatives ensure targets are met maintain and expand client relationships and strengthen our competitive position in the market.

The role also requires close collaboration with other Project Directors across the organisation to ensure alignment knowledge sharing and collective progress toward shared goals.

This position reflects ournew structure of appointing Project Directors with defined focusareas(e.g. KSA UAE Special Projects Global) ensuring scalability and dedicated leadership as our business continues to expand.

Leadership & Strategic Oversight

• Provide vision direction and leadership for project management team.
• Align with the Director of Event Production to deliver on the agreed business plan targets and growth strategy.
• Establish clear objectives OKRs and performance standards for the Event Production project portfolio.
• Coordinate and collaborate with other Project Directors to ensure alignment of strategies processes and delivery standards across all focus areas.
• Drive efficiency best practices and continuous improvement in project delivery.
• Mentor motivate and support project managers building a scalable structure that fosters accountability and innovation.

Project Execution & Delivery

• Lead the planning execution and delivery of projects ensuring quality timeliness and profitability.
• Serve as the senior client-facing representative ensuring trust and satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
• Define and oversee project structures including scheduling budgeting risk assessment and resource allocation.
• Ensure disciplined financial and operational management across projects.
• Guarantee compliance with health safety and quality standards in close collaboration with QHSE.

Standardisation & Best Practices

• Implement and refine standardised workflows for projects while aligning with global unit standards.
• Apply project management methodologies documentation and approval processes that reduce risk and increase efficiency.
• Contribute to structured knowledge-sharing between all focus areas (KSA UAE Special Projects etc.)

Client Liaison & Stakeholder Management

• Build maintain and grow strong relationships with existing clients.
• Work closely with the Business Development to identify approach and secure new client relationships.
• Act as a senior representative to clients ensuring clarity of scope expectations and outcomes.
• Capture client feedback and integrate it into project delivery and future business planning.
• Nurture partnerships with subcontractors suppliers and freelancers to ensure reliable and high-quality delivery.

Financial & Commercial Oversight

• Manage budgets forecasts and margin protection across projects.
• Support the Director of Event Production in financial disciplines risk management and profitability strategies.
• Drive commercial success by balancing operational efficiency with exceptional client delivery.

Innovation & Continuous Improvement

• Stay ahead of regional market trends event production innovations and project management best practices.
• Translate lessons learned into better processes and future planning for upcoming projects.
• Collaborate across units regions and with other Project Directors to ensure creative technical and operational excellence.

Your profile

• Demonstrated extensive project management experience in turnkey project delivery including hands-on experience with AVLand fit-out installations in the field of events of various complexity and scales.
• Good understanding oftechnical business andcontractual correlations in all complexity.
• Proven ability to manage large budgets.
• Strong industry network in the UAE and KSA is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• English language proficiency is a must.
• Flexible to work based on the requirements of the live event industry.
