Job summary

Azizi Developments seeks a senior MEP leader to drive the strategic direction and technical execution of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing works for ultra-tall developments in Dubai. You will lead a team of MEP Project Managers and engineers across multiple phases, ensuring quality, safety, and on-time delivery.

The role requires extensive experience with 50+ floor towers, complex vertical transportation, and high-pressure MEP systems, with a track record of successful large-scale projects.

Qualifications

• 20–25 years of MEP project management experience in building construction.
• 5–10 years in senior leadership roles such as MEP Director or Head.
• Proven delivery of super high-rise projects with complex MEP systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end MEP project lifecycle from design to handover.
• Direct MEP activities for super high-rise developments and coordinate phases.
• Provide strategic direction to MEP Project Managers and multidisciplinary teams.
• Oversee HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, ELV, BMS, and vertical transport systems.
• Review and approve MEP designs, shop drawings, and method statements.
• Ensure coordination between MEP, civil, structural, architectural and façade teams.

Job description

Location: Dubai, UAE

1. Job Purpose

To provide strategic leadership, technical direction, and overall management of MEP (Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing) works for super high-rise building, ensuring successful project execution, coordination, quality, safety, cost control, and timely delivery in accordance with approved specifications, budgets, and project requirements.

2. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the complete MEP project lifecycle, from design development and procurement through installation, testing, commissioning, and final handover.
• Direct and manage all MEP activities for super high-rise developments, ensuring seamless coordination across multiple construction phases and building zones.
• Provide strategic leadership to MEP Project Managers, Construction Managers, Design Managers, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Oversee mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, firefighting, fire alarm, ELV, BMS, vertical transportation, and other associated building services.
• Review and approve MEP designs, technical submissions, shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements.
• Ensure effective coordination between MEP, civil, structural, architectural, façade, and specialist subcontractor teams.
• Manage complex high-rise building systems, including high-pressure water distribution, drainage, smoke management, stairwell pressurization, power distribution, and emergency systems.

3. Educational Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
• Master's Degree in Engineering or Project Management would be an advantage.
• PMP certification or equivalent project management qualification is preferred.

4. Experience & Technical Requirements

• Minimum 20–25 years of overall experience in MEP project management within the building construction industry.
• Minimum 5–10 years in senior leadership positions, such as MEP Project Director, MEP Director, or MEP Head.
• Must have successfully managed and delivered super high-rise buildings.

5. Preferred Candidate Profile

• Buildings with 50 to 100+ floors.
• Large-scale residential and mixed-use towers.
• Complex vertical transportation and high-pressure MEP systems.
• Multiple MEP plant rooms and technical floors.
• Integrated testing and commissioning of high-rise building systems.
• Large-scale MEP subcontractor and workforce management.

Important: Candidates with experience exclusively in low-rise or mid-rise buildings will not be considered. Proven hands‑on leadership experience in projects of 50+ floors is essential.
