Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Project Director to join our team! In this role you will get to manage a highly qualified professional consultancy team (PMC) to deliver a multi zoned high end development in a prestigious central business district masterplan in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Managing a large international team, and providing annual performance reviews / career development advice
  • Leading Meetings, and providing strategic advice to the client in various areas of specialization (Design/Engineering, Procurement, Commercial, Project Controls, Construction, Handover/DLP, and operations) for a major real estate development in a high end, Class A Master Development
  • Review the client's current level of progress of the client's lead design consultant, and manage the delivery of the design and segway into technical advisory
  • Review the client's current program procurement strategy and advise, and align the internal commercial team to deliver on the package strategy's milestones and cost plans
  • Coordinate and manage deliverables between Design Teams, both internal and external, to achieve the program milestones
  • Coordinate and manage deliverables between the construction supervision team and the external contractors.
  • Manage the Project Controls team to prepare, update, and issue Monthly Reports as well as maintain the baseline program and propose necessary changes to the client for approval.
  • Provide Strategic advice and inputs to all areas of the program/project life cycle to add value to the Client's Vision and the project's integration into the Master Community
  • Operate and maintain project budgets
  • Ensures the project meets or exceeds goals established on all strategic plans
  • Ensures the PMC team propose, initiate and lead all Value Engineering Exercises/Workshops on behalf of the client

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • High proficiency in Leadership and Teambuilding
  • Communication Expertise – English Language Mastery
  • Superior Analytical Skills as a result of large volume of financial, statistical, metric and other forms of data on the program requiring quick analysis and decision making and/or advise to the client
  • Software Skills Proficiency – MS Office 365 Intermediate to Expert level, Adobe Acrobat Pro or Bluebeam PDF editors, MS PowerBI, Visio, Teams etc.
  • High proficiency in Big Picture Thinking and Selling the Vision (this is an extremely important skillset in this position as the client relies heavily on strategic thinking and advising them)
  • Advanced Negotiating Expertise/skills – for both internal and external contract administration
  • Conflict Resolution skills – this program is highly dynamic with a tight schedule; superior skills in conflict resolution is required as the aggressive program creates natural conflicts when delays occur.
  • Stakeholder Management skills – this is a must as scope gaps occur which require a unique approach to satisfy the deliverables while maintaining cost and schedule.
  • Planning and resource management skills – candidate must possess a high proficiency in managing resources to deliver effectively on the agreement and to the client.
  • Mastery of Program / Project tools and Techniques – milestone planning, process mapping, planning and facilitating meetings, change management, statistical quality control, root cause analysis, scenario analysis, cost benefit analysis, brainstorming, scheduling tools, and lessons learned are all skills required to successfully deliver this program
