Job summary

Waagner Biro Bridge Services in Dubai seeks a meticulous Cost Controller to support budgeting, cost control, earned value analysis, and cash flow management across infrastructure projects. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or commerce.
• Fresh Graduate or Junior experience in cost control or financial management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a detail-oriented approach.
• Thorough understanding of accounting principles, budgeting procedures, and Earned Value Management (EVM) principles.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to various stakeholders.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel for financial modelling and analysis.
• Experience with financial forecasting, variance analysis, and project cash flow management.
• Knowledge of IFRS15 and reporting standards (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Review and control project budgets in collaboration with project managers and line manager.
• Participate in regular variance analysis to compare actual costs against planned costs.
• Support review and analysis of earned value metrics to support forecasting, variance analysis, and reporting to stakeholders.
• Participate in project cash flow, ensuring costs align with milestones and payments to vendors/subcontractors.
• Support analysis of financial statements to identify improvements and develop cost-saving strategies.
• Assist in preparation of annual budgets.
• Collaborate with project managers to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Perform cost-benefit analysis on prospective projects and provide metrics for decision makers.
• Support preparation of comprehensive financial reports to management.
