Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Project Controls & Planning Engineer to develop, monitor, and control project schedules while ensuring timely execution of structural steel and industrial construction projects. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in project planning, scheduling, progress monitoring, reporting and project controls using Primavera P6.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6.
• Prepare project baselines, work breakdown structures (WBS), and project execution plans.
• Monitor fabrication, procurement, delivery, and site erection progress.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
• Track project milestones and identify schedule deviations.
• Perform delay analysis and recommend recovery plans.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, Procurement, Production, and QA/QC teams.
• Monitor manpower, equipment, and material utilization.
• Prepare look‑ahead schedules (2‑week, 4‑week, and monthly).
• Generate S‑Curves, histograms, cash‑flow and progress dashboards.
• Review subcontractor schedules and monitor performance.
• Assist in Extension of Time (EOT) claims and delay documentation.
• Analyze project risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications and contractual requirements.
• Prepare client presentations and progress updates.
• Support tender planning and project scheduling during the bidding stage.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and planning records.

Preferred Experience

4–8 years of experience in Planning and Project Controls, with experience in Structural Steel, PEB, Industrial Buildings, Warehouses, Oil & Gas, or EPC Projects. Strong knowledge of fabrication and erection planning, ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, and familiarity with UAE construction standards and project execution practices.

Educational Qualification

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline.
