Job summary

Archirodon Group N.V. seeks a Project Controls Engineer to join its UAE EPC team on oil & gas projects. You will draft controls procedures, prepare reports, and maintain deliverables, procurement and subcontract registers.

You will assist in subcontract pricing, budgeting, and cost control while coordinating engineering deliverables and material reconciliation. The role requires a engineering degree, 5 years of construction experience, EPC exposure with ADNOC or equivalent, and strong English

Qualifications

• University degree in engineering.
• 5 years in construction at a similar level.
• Experience in EPC projects with ADNOC or equivalent.
• Fluency in English and knowledge of project management tools.
• Understanding of cost estimation, control and contractual concepts.

Responsibilities

• Draft project-specific Project Controls Procedures per contract.
• Prepare internal and external project reports in required format.
• Maintain deliverables lists for procedures, plans, and submittals.
• Assemble procurement packages with quantities, specs and schedules.
• Maintain Procurement Status Register and Subcontractors Register.
• Assist in drafting and negotiating subcontract prices.
• Support subcontracts administration, payments, and final accounts.
• Coordinate Engineering Deliverables Status Register and materials lists.
• Ensure project records, diaries and site data are properly kept.
• Monitor Contract Scope and Variations; manage Variations and Claims.
• Collect records for Variations/Claims; prepare submissions.
• Collaborate with quantity surveyors on monthly payment requests.
• Assist budgeting and current estimates; monitor variances.
• Participate in establishing project cost centers and cost allocation.

We are constantly growing and are currently looking for an experienced Project Controls Engineer to join a top qualified and knowledgeable team of Engineers in one of our newly awarded Oil & Gas projects in UAE.

What you will need to do:

• Drafts project-specific Project Controls Procedures as per contract requirements.
• Participates in preparing Project internal and external reports in the required format.
• Initiates, coordinates and maintains Project List(s) of Deliverables including those for project procedures and plans, engineering, procurement, material submittals, method statements etc.
• Puts together procurement packages including quantities take-off, contract specifications and technical requirements, delivery schedule etc.
• Initiates and maintains Procurement Status Register.
• Prepares and maintains Subcontractors Register.
• Assists in drafting subcontract agreements and negotiating subcontract prices.
• Assists in subcontracts administration and related correspondences, measurements, payment certification, closing final account etc.
• Coordinates and maintains Engineering Deliverables Status Register.
• Prepares a List of Project Materials along with the required quantities and maintains a continuous project materials reconciliation.
• Ensures that project records and diaries are maintained including photos, list of daily activities, climate conditions, utilized & idle resources, productivities, important events, verbal site instructions, etc.
• Monitors the Contract Scope of Work and any Variations thereto.
• Prepares and maintains Variations and Claims Registers.
• Collects, maintains and groups contemporary records necessary for assessment and substantiation of Variations and Claims.
• Prepares Variation and Claim submissions.
• Collaborates with quantity surveyors in preparing and submitting monthly payment requests.
• Assists in preparing budget and current estimates and monitor any variances.
• Participates in establishing project cost centers and allocates costs accordingly.

Qualifications

• University degree in Engineering.
• 5 years relevant experience in construction industry at similar level.
• Experience in EPC Projects with ADNOC (or equivalent) is essential.
• Capability to perform under stressful situations.
• Cost estimation, cost control, planning, risk management and contractual knowledge.
• Engineering, procurement, construction, pre-commissioning and commissioning awareness.
• Fluency in the English language.
• Knowledge of project management tools.
• Knowledge of basic financial concepts.
