Job summary

Archirodon Group in the UAE is seeking an experienced Project Controls Engineer to join our EPC team on one of our recently awarded Oil & Gas projects. You will work with a qualified team to deliver robust cost and schedule controls.

The ideal candidate holds an engineering degree, 5 years in construction, and proven EPC experience with ADNOC or equivalent. Strong English, planning, cost control, and contractual knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• University degree in Engineering.
• 5 years relevant experience in construction.
• Experience in EPC Projects with ADNOC (or equivalent) is essential.
• Fluency in English.
• Knowledge of project management tools.
• Knowledge of basic financial concepts.

Responsibilities

• Drafts project-specific Project Controls Procedures as per contract requirements.
• Prepares internal and external project reports in the required format.
• Maintains Project Deliverables and related plans, schedules and documents.
• Assembles procurement packages with quantities, specs and delivery schedules.
• Maintains Procurement Status Register and Subcontractors Register.
• Assists in drafting subcontract agreements and negotiating prices.
• Supports subcontract administration, cost control, and payment certification.
• Coordinates Engineering Deliverables Status Register and material quantities.
• Maintains project records, diaries, and daily activity logs.
• Monitors Contract Scope of Work and Variations thereto.
• Prepares Variations and Claims Registers and submissions.
• Collaborates with quantity surveyors on monthly payments.
• Assists in budgeting and current estimates, monitoring variances.
• Participates in establishing project cost centers.

What you will need to do:

• Drafts project-specific Project Controls Procedures as per contract requirements.
• Participates in preparing Project internal and external reports in the required format.
• Initiates, coordinates and maintains Project List(s) of Deliverables including those for project procedures and plans, engineering, procurement, material submittals, method statements etc.
• Puts together procurement packages including quantities take-off, contract specifications and technical requirements, delivery schedule etc.
• Initiates and maintains Procurement Status Register.
• Prepares and maintains Subcontractors Register.
• Assists in drafting subcontract agreements and negotiating subcontract prices.
• Assists in subcontracts administration and related correspondences, measurements, payment certification, closing final account etc.
• Coordinates and maintains Engineering Deliverables Status Register.
• Prepares a List of Project Materials along with the required quantities and maintains a continuous project materials reconciliation.
• Ensures that project records and diaries are maintained including photos, list of daily activities, climate conditions, utilized & idle resources, productivities, important events, verbal site instructions, etc.
• Monitors the Contract Scope of Work and any Variations thereto.
• Prepares and maintains Variations and Claims Registers.
• Collects, maintains and groups contemporary records necessary for assessment and substantiation of Variations and Claims.
• Prepares Variation and Claim submissions.
• Collaborates with quantity surveyors in preparing and submitting monthly payment requests.
• Assists in preparing budget and current estimates and monitor any variances.
• Participates in establishing project cost centers and allocates costs accordingly.

Qualifications

• University degree in Engineering.
• 5 years relevant experience in construction industry at similar level.
• Experience in EPC Projects with ADNOC (or equivalent) is essential.
• Capability to perform under stressful situations.
• Cost estimation, cost control, planning, risk management and contractual knowledge.
• Engineering, procurement, construction, pre-commissioning and commissioning awareness.
• Fluency in the English language.
• Knowledge of project management tools.
• Knowledge of basic financial concepts.
