Job summary

Mvl Group in Dubai is seeking an experienced Cost Controller / Project Accountant to manage budgets across projects, track spend by WBS, CSI division, cost code, and procurement packages, and ensure costs align with the approved plan.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Quantity Surveying, or Construction Management, 5–8 years in construction cost control, and Power BI capability; main-contractor experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, Quantity Surveying, or Construction Management.
• Power BI capability is a strong advantage.
• 5 to 8 years in construction cost control or project accounting; main-contractor experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the approved project budget by project, WBS, CSI division, cost code, work package, subcontract, and procurement package.
• Track Original Budget, Approved Budget Transfers, Current Budget, Commitments, Actual Costs, Forecast-to-Complete, and Estimate-at-Completion.
• Verify that all costs are charged to the correct project and cost code
• Identify incorrect, duplicate, missing, or questionable cost allocations
• Verify available budget & Confirm correct project and cost code.
• Compare PO amount against procurement budget.
• Identify budget shortfall or excess.
• Confirm whether the PO is included in the latest forecast.
• Track original PO value & Track amendments/change orders
• Subcontract Cost Control
• Project Expense Control
