Job summary

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Digital Business or related field plus PhD/Doctoral Degree.
• Evidence of exceptional aptitude for scientific work via publications.
• At least three years of qualified professional experience, with two outside of a university, in Digital Business/Transformation/Analytics.

Responsibilities

• Deliver introductory and advanced courses in Digital Business, Digital Transformation, Digital Strategy, Applied Data Science, Business Analytics, and Decision Support Systems; teach in at least two areas.
• Plan and run interdisciplinary research and development projects with scholarly publications.
• Advise and supervise students to help them achieve goals.
• Grade student work, supervise seminars and theses, uphold high standards.

Your Responsibilities

We are looking for a new colleague to join our Business Faculty in Dubai on a full-time basis / 40 hours a week starting on 01.03.2027, who shares our vision of excellence in education and is committed to making a difference in the lives of our students and staff.

Key Activities & Responsibilities:

• Conducting introductory and advanced courses in the areas of Digital Business, Digital Transformation, Digital Strategy and Innovation, Applied Data Science, Business Analytics, and Decision Support Systems. Candidates should be able to teach in at least two of these areas.

• Planning and implementing interdisciplinary research and development projects, including scholarly publications in the fields of Digital Business, Digital Transformation, Business Analytics, and Data-Driven Innovation.

• Advising and supervising students to help them achieve their goals

• Grading student work, supervising seminars, projects, and bachelor/master theses, ensuring high academic and didactic standards

• Establishing industry collaborations and partnerships to further grow the network of the University

• Participate in university administration and committee work, actively supporting the success of UE

• Contributing to the conceptual design of new study programs and the continuous development of existing curricula

• Advising prospective students and contributing to UE’s outreach activities

Requirements for a professorship:

• University studies in Digital Business, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Data Science, Digital Management, or a related field, completed with a Master degree and with a PhD/Doctoral Degree.

• Proof of exceptional aptitude for scientific work, usually demonstrated by the quality of a doctorate and/or the quality of scientific publications

• At least three years of qualified professional experience, with two years outside of a university, in Digital Business, Digital Transformation, Applied Data Science, Business Analytics, or related domain

Your profile

• Experience teaching lectures in Digital Business, Digital Transformation, Digital Strategy, Applied Data Science, and Business Analytics. Experience in teaching advanced versions of these courses is an advantage]

• National and international work experience

• Ability to teach courses in English language

• Ability to teach courses in German is an advantage

• Publication and research activity is a strong asset

• Commitment to applied research, student engagement, and curriculum innovation

• Strong ability to communicate and work in a team
