Job summary

The University of Europe for Applied Sciences Dubai invites applications for a Professorship in the Business Faculty in Dubai. The candidate will teach and develop modules across International Business Management, Human Capital Management, Strategic & Digital Marketing and Customer Centric Management, delivering high-quality and practical education.

The role requires a Master degree and PhD with at least three years of professional experience, including time outside academia.

Qualifications

• Master's degree and PhD/Doctoral Degree in a related field.
• Minimum three years of qualified professional experience, with two years outside of a university.
• Proven aptitude for scientific work, demonstrated by doctorate quality and publications.

Responsibilities

• Deliver introductory and advanced courses in International Business Development, Human Capital Management, Strategic & Digital Marketing and Customer Centric Management. Lectures in at least two areas.
• Plan and implement interdisciplinary research and development projects including publication activities.
• Advise and supervise students to help them achieve their goals
• Grade student work, supervise seminars, projects, and bachelor/master theses ensuring high academic and didactic standards
• Establish industry collaborations and partnerships to further grow the network of the University
• Participate in university administration and committee work, actively supporting the success of UE
• Contribute to the conceptual design of new study programmes and the continuous development of existing curricula
• Advise prospective students and contribute to UE’s outreach activities

Your Responsibilities

We are looking for a new colleague to join our Business Faculty in Dubai on a full-time basis / 40 hours a week starting on 01.03.2027, who shares our vision of excellence in education and is committed to making a difference in the lives of our students and staff.

In this exciting role, you'll deliver engaging and practical modules, leverage your expertise to create real-world connections, and foster an inclusive learning experience that values diverse and creative problem-solving.

You’ll play an instrumental role in delivering high-quality, future-oriented education, empowering students to develop the skills and mindset needed to thrive in a globalized and rapidly evolving world. Your contributions will have a lasting impact on the academic journey of your students and support the continued growth of both the university and its vibrant international community.

Key Activities & Responsibilities:

• Conducting introductory and advanced courses in the areas of Int. Business Development, Human Capital Management, Strategic & Digital Marketing and Customer Centric Management. Candidates should be able to give lectures in at least two of these areas

Requirements for a professorship:

• University studies in Business Administration or a related field completed with a Master degree and with a PhD/Doctoral Degree.

• Proof of exceptional aptitude for scientific work, usually demonstrated by the quality of a doctorate and/or the quality of scientific publications

• At least three years of qualified professional experience, with two years outside of a university in Business Administration, or related domains

Your profile

• Experience in teaching lectures in the areas of International Business Management, Human Capital Management and/or Marketing Management. Experience in teaching advanced versions of these courses is an advantage

• National and international work experience

• Ability to teach courses in English language

• Ability to teach courses in German language is an advantage

• Publication and research activity is a strong asset

• Commitment to applied research, student engagement, and curriculum innovation

• Strong ability to communicate and work in a team
