About The Role

The Production Engineer 1 supports production engineering activities, assembly execution, and shop-floor operations to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant production. Responsibilities
  • Support production lines, assembly areas, and projects to ensure execution of approved production plans, orders, work instructions, drawings, specifications, and procedures.
  • Maintain regular shop-floor presence to verify workstation readiness, material availability, tooling, fixtures, testers, documentation, and production progress.
  • Review engineering and manufacturing documentation to identify discrepancies, execution risks, missing information, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Track and coordinate resolution of discrepancies between engineering data, manufacturing data, work instructions, routings, SAP/MES records, and shop-floor execution.
  • Conduct DFMA/DFM/DFA reviews to improve manufacturability, assembly efficiency, safety, quality, and production flow.
  • Support production readiness activities by ensuring availability of materials, equipment, tools, testers, fixtures, consumables, PPE, and quality requirements.
  • Assist with implementation of approved engineering changes and monitor shop-floor impact.
  • Investigate production issues, collect field data, verify root causes, document findings, and support corrective actions.
  • Collect and analyze production data including output, downtime, defects, rework, test failures, manpower utilisation, routing status, and process interruptions.
  • Support KPI improvement initiatives related to safety, quality, delivery, cost, productivity, OEE/OLE, and process stability.
  • Develop and recommend practical improvements in processes, material flow, workstation layout, tooling, fixtures, documentation, error-proofing, and 5S practices.
  • Support SAP/MES data visibility by reviewing production order status, routing progress, labor bookings, material consumption, WIP, traceability, and closure records.
  • Prepare reports, technical summaries, action trackers, discrepancy logs, production-impact assessments, and improvement recommendations.
  • Support prototype builds, pilot runs, industrialisation activities, production transfers, process-improvement projects, and recovery plans.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards, HSE requirements, ISO standards, company procedures, and audit-readiness requirements.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Aerospace, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • 0-3 years of experience in production, manufacturing, operations, engineering, or technical environments.
  • Knowledge of production processes, shop-floor operations, technical documentation, and manufacturing principles.
  • Exposure to ERP systems, SAP/MES, production orders, routing management, quality systems, and continuous improvement methodologies is preferred.
  • Understanding of OEE/OLE, HSE requirements, ISO standards, audit readiness, and production performance monitoring is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Manufacturing, aerospace, defence, engineering, industrial, or other regulated production environments.
