Job summary

Agthia Group PJSC is seeking a Product Information Manager in Abu Dhabi to lead nutrition data governance, ensure accurate ingredient data, and support product lifecycle compliance. • Strong knowledge of food research and product development processes.
• Solid understanding of food safety, food hygiene standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Knowledge of product stability testing and shelf-life evaluation methodologies.
• Good working knowledge of food products, manufacturing processes, and ingredients relevant to the assigned product category.

Responsibilities

• Provide nutritional expertise to support development, reformulation, and commercialization of food and beverage products.
• Partner with Product Development teams to achieve nutritional targets while maintaining quality, taste, and viability.
• Recommend ingredient alternatives to enhance nutritional value and cost efficiency.
• Assess nutritional impact of formulation changes throughout the lifecycle.
• Calculate and verify product nutritional values using approved tools; maintain nutrition panels and profiles.
• Ensure compliance with labeling requirements and health claim legislation.
• Review and validate nutrition and health claims based on evidence.
• Maintain accurate recipes, ingredient specs, and nutritional information in systems.
• Support BOM automation to align formulations, calculations, and manufacturing requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to keep data accurate and up to date.

Purpose

The Product Information Manager is responsible for leading the management, accuracy, and governance of product information and nutritional data across the product lifecycle. The role ensures that nutritional information, recipes, Bills of Materials (BOMs), product specifications, ingredient data, and labeling information are accurate, compliant, and maintained within company systems to support product development, commercialization, manufacturing consistency, and regulatory requirements. Working closely with cross-functional teams, the role also provides nutritional expertise, drives data integrity and compliance standards, and leads the Product Information team to deliver high-quality product information, documentation, and continuous process improvements.

Responsibilities

Nutritional Product Development

• Provide nutritional expertise to support the development, reformulation, and commercialization of food and beverage products.
• Partner with Product Development teams to ensure products achieve nutritional targets while maintaining quality, sensory appeal, and commercial viability.
• Recommend ingredient alternatives to enhance nutritional value, functionality, and cost efficiency.
• Assess the nutritional impact of formulation changes throughout the product development lifecycle.

Nutritional Analysis & Product Compliance

• Calculate and verify product nutritional values using approved formulation and nutrition analysis tools.
• Develop and maintain accurate nutrition facts panels and product nutritional profiles.
• Ensure compliance with food regulations, nutrition labeling requirements, and health claim legislation.
• Review and validate nutrition and health claims based on scientific evidence and regulatory standards.

Ingredient Evaluation & Scientific Support

• Evaluate ingredients, including vitamins, minerals, proteins, fibers, sweeteners, and botanicals, for suitability in product applications.
• Review scientific literature and emerging nutrition research to support innovation and product development.
• Monitor developments in nutrition science, dietary guidelines, and consumer health trends to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.

Recipe Management & BOM Administration

• Maintain accurate product recipes, ingredient specifications, and nutritional information within recipe management systems.
• Support the automation and continuous improvement of Bills of Materials (BOMs) to ensure alignment between formulations, nutritional calculations, and manufacturing requirements.
• Collaborate with Product Development, Manufacturing, Procurement, and IT teams to ensure recipe and BOM data remain accurate and up to date.

Training & Knowledge Sharing

• Provide guidance and training to internal stakeholders on nutrition labeling, health claims, and regulatory requirements.
• Share updates on changes in nutrition science, food legislation, and industry best practices.
• Promote awareness of nutrition principles and support the development of healthier product offerings across the organization.
