Job summary

The MAKE team in Abu Dhabi seeks a Product Designer who thrives across concept development, prototyping, and design communication. This practice-led designer will contribute to design-led projects within MAKE’s programs and services.

You will support educational sessions, facilitate critiques, and collaborate with fabrication and consultancy teams to translate briefs into workable design solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Product Design.
• Experience in product design and concept development.
• Strong understanding of design methodologies.
• Hands-on prototyping experience.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Experience with applied or research-led design projects preferred.
• Experience delivering talks or critiques preferred.
• Familiarity with packaging design or product systems an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to product design development across in-house initiatives, research-led explorations, and client-supported projects.
• Develop and prototype design concepts independently and in collaboration with technical consultants.
• Support the translation of design concepts through prototyping, testing, and refinement.
• Apply user-centered and context-aware design principles in all design work.
