Job Title - Procurement Officer

About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and detail‑driven Procurement Officer to support the sourcing, purchasing, and vendor management activities for our interior fit out and construction projects. The role involves working closely with project teams, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of goods and materials while optimizing cost, quality, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Source and evaluate suppliers for interior fit out materials (fixtures, finishes, joinery, fittings) and construction services.
  • Issue RFQs / RFPs, compare vendor quotations, and negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, payment terms, and contracts.
  • Prepare and process purchase orders (POs) in line with approved requisitions and project requirements.
  • Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, and operations teams to forecast material needs, prevent delays, and ensure project alignment.
  • Monitor supplier performance: track deliveries, lead times, quality of goods, and address any delivery or quality issues.
  • Maintain accurate procurement documentation: supplier data, purchase orders, invoices, delivery notes, and contracts.
  • Liaise with warehouse or store teams to coordinate receipt of materials, verify deliveries, and update inventory records.
  • Assist in cost saving initiatives by identifying alternative suppliers or materials without compromising quality.
  • Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, procedures, and relevant regulations.
  • Support procurement reporting: prepare status updates, spending analysis, vendor performance reports for management.
  • Work with finance to ensure vendor payments are processed accurately and on time.
  • Participate in continuous process improvement: suggest efficiencies, system enhancements, and better procurement practices.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 25 years experience in procurement, preferably within the construction, fit out, or real estate development industry.
  • Experience negotiating with local and international suppliers.
  • Good knowledge of procurement processes, documentation, and contract management.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel); experience with ERP/procurement systems is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, relationship‑building, and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple procurement tasks.
