Position Overview
The Procurement Manager will oversee the end-to-end sourcing, purchasing, and logistics functions for all Infinity Developments projects, ensuring cost efficiency, quality control, and timely delivery of goods and services. The role requires a balance of strategic sourcing and hands‑on operational management, with particular emphasis on construction materials, FF&E/OS&E, and hospitality supplies across multiple project sites in Zanzibar.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Procurement Planning
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with project budgets, timelines, and operational requirements.
- Establish vendor qualification criteria and maintain approved supplier databases for construction, hospitality, and F&B divisions.
- Conduct cost analyses and value engineering exercises to ensure optimal sourcing decisions.
- Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with local and international suppliers to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms.
- Draft and manage supplier agreements, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal standards.
- Conduct regular vendor performance reviews focusing on reliability, quality, and after‑sales support.
3. Project-Based Procurement Execution
- Coordinate material requisitions with project managers, engineers, and design teams in Dubai and Zanzibar.
- Oversee bulk purchases, import logistics, and customs clearance for Zanzibar projects.
- Work closely with finance and logistics teams to align purchase orders, shipment schedules, and inventory levels.
4. Cost Control & Reporting
- Track procurement budgets and prepare monthly cost variance reports.
- Ensure proper documentation and transparency in all purchasing processes.
- Recommend alternative materials or suppliers to achieve cost savings without compromising quality.
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Liaise with on-site project teams, hospitality operations, and finance departments to forecast and plan procurement needs.
- Support hospitality pre‑opening phases (OS&E, FF&E, uniforms, kitchen equipment, etc.).
- Manage procurement staff and coordinate with warehouse and logistics personnel in Zanzibar.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or Business Administration (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum 8–10 years of procurement experience, ideally within real estate development, construction, or hospitality sectors.
- Proven experience managing international sourcing, logistics, and vendor relations in East Africa or the GCC.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and project management skills.
- Excellent command of English (Swahili or Arabic is an advantage).
- Proficient in ERP or procurement management systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Zoho, or Odoo).
