About Infinity Developments

Infinity Developments is a diversified real estate and hospitality development company specializing in large-scale luxury projects across the Indian Ocean region, including the award-winning Anantara Zanzibar Resort & Residences and multiple heritage restoration initiatives in Stone Town. Headquartered in Dubai, Infinity Developments manages the full project lifecycle — from design and construction to hospitality operations and asset management — with a focus on quality, sustainability, and regional impact.

Position Overview

The Procurement Manager will oversee the end-to-end sourcing, purchasing, and logistics functions for all Infinity Developments projects, ensuring cost efficiency, quality control, and timely delivery of goods and services. The role requires a balance of strategic sourcing and hands‑on operational management, with particular emphasis on construction materials, FF&E/OS&E, and hospitality supplies across multiple project sites in Zanzibar.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Procurement Planning
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with project budgets, timelines, and operational requirements.
  • Establish vendor qualification criteria and maintain approved supplier databases for construction, hospitality, and F&B divisions.
  • Conduct cost analyses and value engineering exercises to ensure optimal sourcing decisions.
  • Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with local and international suppliers to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms.
  • Draft and manage supplier agreements, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal standards.
  • Conduct regular vendor performance reviews focusing on reliability, quality, and after‑sales support.
3. Project-Based Procurement Execution
  • Coordinate material requisitions with project managers, engineers, and design teams in Dubai and Zanzibar.
  • Oversee bulk purchases, import logistics, and customs clearance for Zanzibar projects.
  • Work closely with finance and logistics teams to align purchase orders, shipment schedules, and inventory levels.
4. Cost Control & Reporting
  • Track procurement budgets and prepare monthly cost variance reports.
  • Ensure proper documentation and transparency in all purchasing processes.
  • Recommend alternative materials or suppliers to achieve cost savings without compromising quality.
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Liaise with on-site project teams, hospitality operations, and finance departments to forecast and plan procurement needs.
  • Support hospitality pre‑opening phases (OS&E, FF&E, uniforms, kitchen equipment, etc.).
  • Manage procurement staff and coordinate with warehouse and logistics personnel in Zanzibar.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or Business Administration (Master’s preferred).
  • Minimum 8–10 years of procurement experience, ideally within real estate development, construction, or hospitality sectors.
  • Proven experience managing international sourcing, logistics, and vendor relations in East Africa or the GCC.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and project management skills.
  • Excellent command of English (Swahili or Arabic is an advantage).
  • Proficient in ERP or procurement management systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Zoho, or Odoo).
