Job summary

A leading global energy services company is seeking a Procurement Manager in Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on sourcing and purchasing activities for manufacturing operations, negotiating contracts, and ensuring compliance with procurement processes. Candidates should have a bachelor's degree and at least 7 years of experience in procurement within oil & gas or manufacturing. Proficiency in ERP platforms like SAP Ariba and Oracle is crucial. This position is key to driving supplier performance and cost-effective material acquisition.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in procurement or sourcing within oil & gas / manufacturing.
  • CIPS or CPSM certification preferred.
  • Proven track record in cost reduction and supplier management.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with cost, quality, and delivery targets.
  • Source and evaluate suppliers for raw materials, consumables, and subcontracting services.
  • Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and long-term agreements.
  • Monitor supplier performance and lead corrective action plans when required.
  • Coordinate with engineering and operations to understand material specifications and delivery timelines.
  • Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and ethical standards.
  • Maintain accurate purchase order tracking and reporting through ERP systems.
  • Lead cost reduction and localization / alternative sourcing initiatives.

Skills

Strong negotiation and contract management capabilities
