Overview

Black & Grey HR is recruiting for a prominent manufacturing company in Abu Dhabi, UAE, known for its commitment to innovation, sustainability, and quality in specialized products. Our client is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Procurement Lead to oversee the end-to-end procurement activities for their production operations.


Responsibilities


  • Develop and implement comprehensive annual procurement plans and budgets, ensuring alignment with production forecasts and organizational financial targets.

  • Formulate and execute strategic sourcing initiatives to achieve significant annual cost savings; identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure optimal terms.

  • Lead end-to-end supplier management, including identification, qualification, onboarding, performance reviews, and contract management for key categories (e.g., wood, resin, laminates, adhesives).

  • Collaborate with Production, Inventory Control, and Planning departments to maintain optimal stock levels and ensure an uninterrupted flow of materials.

  • Conduct ongoing market analysis of trends, commodity price fluctuations, and supply chain risks to inform strategic purchasing decisions and mitigate disruptions.

  • Ensure all procurement activities adhere to internal SOPs and external ISO, EHS, and sustainability standards.

  • Utilize ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) to manage procurement data, streamline workflows, digitize processes, and contribute to system enhancement projects.

  • Partner with Research & Development (R&D) and other cross-functional teams to source new materials for product development initiatives.


Qualifications


  • Bachelor\'s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or related field. Master\'s degree or certifications (e.g., CSCP, CPSM) a plus.

  • Min 7-10 years of strategic procurement experience in manufacturing; wood, construction materials, or panel board industry experience is essential.

  • Proven track record in strategic sourcing, major contract negotiation, and delivering significant cost savings.

  • Strong financial and market analysis skills, with proficiency in ERP systems (SAP/Oracle preferred).

  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
