Job summary

Emirates Electrical & Instrumentation Company LLC. is seeking an experienced procurement professional to manage ERP-based procurement for electrical and instrumentation components for oil and gas projects in the UAE.

You will review requisitions, issue RFQs, source equipment, evaluate quotations, and negotiate terms with suppliers. You will coordinate with engineering, QA/QC, logistics, and site teams to ensure on-time delivery, maintain stock levels, and control costs within project budgets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering
• 5–10 years of experience in procurement within Oil & Gas / EPC
• Experience with ADNOC/Aramco projects preferred
• Knowledge of local and international supplier networks

Responsibilities

• Manage ERP-based procurement operations for electrical and instrumentation materials, equipment and services for oil & gas projects
• Review requisitions, specifications, datasheets, drawings and BOQs to identify procurement needs
• Prepare and issue RFQs to approved suppliers; source E&I equipment and materials (switchgear, transformers, cables, instruments, valves, junction boxes, control systems)
• Evaluate quotations and coordinate bid evaluations with engineering; prepare commercial bid comparisons and negotiate terms
• Ensure supplier compliance with project specs and approved vendor lists; create purchase orders in ERP and obtain approvals
• Coordinate with QA/QC for inspections and release documentation; liaise with logistics, stores and site teams on receipts and shortages
• Maintain stock levels for critical items; monitor procurement costs against budgets; maintain procurement registers and delivery reports
• Resolve supplier claims and invoice issues; identify procurement risks and coordinate corrective actions

Job Description

• Manage fully computerized, ERP-based procurement operations for electrical and instrumentation materials, equipment, and services for oil and gas projects.
• Review and screen material requisitions, specifications, datasheets, drawings, and BOQs to identify procurement requirements.

• Prepare and issue RFQs to approved suppliers in accordance with project requirements.
• Source E&I equipment and materials, including switchgear, transformers, cables, instruments, control valves, junction boxes, and control systems.
• Evaluate supplier quotations and coordinate technical bid evaluations with the engineering team.
• Prepare commercial bid comparisons and negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, and warranties.
• Ensure materials and suppliers comply with project specifications and client-approved vendor lists.
• Prepare purchase orders in the ERP system and obtain approvals in accordance with company procedures.
• Follow up with suppliers on documentation, manufacturing progress, inspections, and delivery commitments.
• Coordinate with QA/QC for material inspections, certificates, and release documentation.
• Coordinate with logistics, stores, and site teams to verify material receipts, arrange physical inspections, and resolve shortages, damage, or discrepancies.
• Coordinate with stores to ensure proper stacking and storage and maintain minimum and maximum stock levels for critical and fast-moving items.
• Monitor procurement costs against project budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Maintain accurate procurement registers, purchase order records, delivery reports, and supporting documentation in compliance with company procedures.
• Resolve supplier claims, purchase order discrepancies, and invoice issues with relevant departments.
• Identify procurement risks and delays and coordinate corrective actions to support project schedules.

Logistics and Supply Chain Management:

Designing efficient logistics management systems to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and shipments.

Preparing MIS reports on inward and outward logistics and updating top management on inventory activities.

Assisting in the preparation of cost estimates and proposals for logistics solutions.

Developing long-term partnerships with suppliers and monitoring day-to-day supplier performance.

Ensuring suppliers meet service, cost, delivery, and quality standards.

Coordinating with suppliers for new product development and implementation.

Negotiating shipment terms and coordinating with freight forwarders for shipment tracking and customs clearance.

Managing duty exemptions and preparing documentation for FTA (Free Trade Agreement) submissions.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering (mandatory).

Minimum 5–10 years of experience in procurement within Oil & Gas / EPC environment.

Prior experience in ADNOC, Aramco, or other major Oil & Gas projects preferred.

Knowledge of local and international supplier networks.

Additional Information

Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Good understanding of Incoterms, logistics, and import/export procedures.

Strong ethics, attention to detail, and commitment to quality.
