The selected candidate will be responsible for managing procurement processes, preparing RFQs, evaluating bids, and negotiating contracts. Job description

China State Construction Middle East (CSCEC) is recruiting a Procurement Engineer to join our Procurement Team at a large scale High Rise Tower Project in Dhabi.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Study the requirements of the material/subcontract works according to the contract documents.
  • Prepare the request for quotation (RFQ) or enquiry package comprising of specifications. Drawings and Bill if Quantity.
  • Invite the qualified bidder to quote for the respective package and follow up closely with subcontractor / suppliers to submit quotation.
  • Evaluate quotations received ensure compliance with specifications and project requirement. Negotiate with the bidder to achieve good commercial value and credit terms.
  • Produce the price and technical evaluation report and make recommendation for the work package.
  • Review the technical date from successful bidder in order to maintain a proper submission and coordinate with the project team for the technical submittals to ensure the scope of work ad contractual terms and conditions are implemented.
  • Prepare contracts agreement to formalize the work package.
  • Follow up with the successful bidder for bank guarantee (advance payment / performance bond) submission.
  • Report to team leader / superior the procurement work status on regular basis.
  • Survey the current market price for construction related material and keep update on the new material / technology.
