Job summary
Ingenia Polymers Chemical Industries LLC seeks a Process Engineer/Safety Coordinator to evaluate processes, configure manufacturing systems to reduce cost, improve sustainability and develop best practices. The role focuses on maintaining reliable, safe systems and managing capital equipment projects with internal and external resources, while being hands-on in day-to-day manufacturing.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering (Mech or Chem)
- 3-5 years of Process Engineering experience
- Strong background with PLC controls and electrical schematics
- Experience in equipment troubleshooting, process optimization and production controls (SPC and DCS)
- Strong mechanical aptitude; manufacturing environment experience
- Willingness to engage in production operations at all levels
- Experience managing ISO14001 and ISO45001 systems, with internal auditor cert
- Ability to work multitasking in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in MS Office, PLC controls and programming software; SolidWorks a plus
- Strong customer/vendor interaction and interpersonal skills
- Occasional after-hours work for troubleshooting and projects
- Plastics manufacturing/process development experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and optimize manufacturing processes for cost reduction and sustainability
- Ensure safety, environmental compliance and maintain ISO 14001/45001 certifications
- Lead process design, DOE and statistical tooling for process control
- Manage capital equipment projects with internal and external resources
- Support production operations and drive improvements across shifts
- Implement new technologies in processing areas
