Job summary

SGS is seeking experienced Process Piping Inspectors to join our team in Al Dhafra, Abu Dhabi. You will monitor piping fabrication, erection, welding, and pressure-testing activities on oil & gas projects.

The role requires a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and a minimum of 5 years of piping and welding inspection experience, with strong knowledge of ASME codes and hydrotest procedures. You will coordinate with construction, quality, and project teams to ensure compliance with drawings, ITPs,

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of piping and welding inspection experience in Oil & Gas.
• Strong knowledge of ASME codes and hydrotest procedures.
• Experience in piping fabrication, erection, and welding inspection.

Responsibilities

• Monitor piping fabrication and erection activities.
• Inspect welding activities and ensure compliance with approved procedures and specifications.
• Witness and monitor pressure testing and hydrotesting activities.
• Check welding consumables, preheat requirements, and post-weld conditions.
• Ensure all activities comply with approved drawings, applicable codes, project specifications, and ITPs.
• Review relevant inspection and testing documentation.
• Identify and report non-conformities and follow up on corrective actions.
• Coordinate with construction, quality, and project teams regarding inspection activities.
