Job description

Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc. The Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Product Solutions Engineering team is looking for an experienced and motivated Software Development Engineer to design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs and other systems for OCI’s Dedicated Region Cloud @ Customer (DRCC) and Oracle Alloy customers. This is an opportunity to help build a competitive offering from its nascency and extend the reach of OCI to address green field opportunities across the globe. You will work with a talented group of software developers, technical program managers, and a diverse set of cross‑functional stakeholders designing scalable, highly available cloud services in a world class cloud development environment.

Work is non‑routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical and business skills in the area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 5+ years of software engineering or related experience.

Minimum Qualifications

• Fluency in both English and Arabic is required for this role
• 7+ years of experience on DevOps Tools/Skills, Programming/Scripting language (Bash/shell, Python, Java, pl/sql, etc.) and full stack development
• Ability to work in a collaborative, cross‑functional team environment.
• Strong grasp of Computer Science concepts (data structures, algorithms, and programming paradigms)
• Writes correct, secure, maintainable, robust code and appropriate tests
• Collaborates on planning and identifying and mitigating risks in their project
• You are experienced at building highly available services, possessing knowledge of common service‑oriented design patterns and service‑to‑service communication protocols.
• Experience with components of modern infrastructure like service discovery, secret storage, containerization, software‑defined networking, etc.
• Drives operational readiness & excellence of their features & subsystems.
• Able to effectively communicate technical ideas verbally and in writing (technical proposals, design specs, architecture diagrams and presentations)
