Job summary

Kaizen Resourcing in Dubai is seeking a Principal Mechanical Engineer to own the mechanical architecture from concept to production for next-generation autonomous platforms.

This hands-on role requires expert CAD skills (SolidWorks/Creo), experience with UAV or robotics, DfM focus, and collaboration with systems, electronics, software and manufacturing teams. Relocation support provided; on-site in Dubai.

Qualifications

• Experience in senior/principal hands-on mechanical engineering roles.
• Expert CAD experience in SolidWorks or Creo.
• Background in UAV/aerospace, robotics, or electromechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Own mechanical architecture from concept to production.
• Lead hands-on mechanical design and development of complex products.
• Drive DfM, design quality and production readiness.
• Work closely with systems, electronics, software and manufacturing teams.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers.
• Help establish engineering standards, processes, and PLM/PDM systems.
• Make key technical decisions for projects.

Job description

We have an exciting opportunity in Dubai for a Principal Mechanical Engineer to join an innovative technology business developing next-generation autonomous and unmanned platforms for demanding real-world applications.

This is a highly hands-on role with responsibility for mechanical architecture, detailed design, and product development - ideal for an engineer who wants to stay close to the technical work while having significant influence over the overall product.

Salary: Up to 40,000 AED per month.

On-site working: Dubai, UAE.

Relocation support provided.

The role

• Own mechanical architecture from concept through to production.
• Lead hands-on mechanical design and development of complex products.
• Drive DfM, design quality and production readiness.
• Work closely with systems, electronics, software and manufacturing teams.
• Solve complex mechanical engineering challenges and make key technical decisions.
• Help establish engineering standards, processes, and PLM/PDM systems.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other engineers.

Required skills

• Strong background in complex UAV, aerospace, robotics, or electromechanical products.
• Significant experience in senior/principal hands-on mechanical engineering roles.
• Expert-level SolidWorks, Creo, or similar CAD experience.
• Experience working with complex autonomous systems.
• Strong DfM and product development experience.
• Experience with PLM/PDM systems (Windchill or similar).
• A genuinely hands-on engineer who enjoys taking ownership from concept to production.
