Job summary

Remotedxb is seeking a senior frontend architect to define and lead frontend practices across the organization, delivering accessible, scalable web applications for government clients.

You will design modern frontend architectures, build component libraries, and mentor engineers while collaborating with product managers to balance UX with delivery requirements.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of related frontend experience.
• Proven architecting and implementing modern frontend apps at scale (React/Angular).
• Strong JS/TS skills and web APIs knowledge.
• Strong WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility understanding.
• Experience with automated frontend testing (unit, component, e2e).
• Mentor and coach engineers across levels.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the strategic direction for frontend engineering practices, tooling, and skillset across the organization
• Lead the development of accessible, performant, and user-centered web applications for government customers
• Design and implement modern frontend architectures, development pipelines, and deployment infrastructure
• Build and maintain component libraries, design systems, and shared frontend infrastructure
• Mentor and coach engineers at all levels on frontend technologies
• Collaborate with product managers to balance UI/UX experience with implementation effort

Requirements

• 10+ years of related experience
• Proven experience architecting and implementing modern frontend applications at scale using React and/or Angular
• Strong proficiency in modern JavaScript/TypeScript and deep understanding of web platform APIs
• Strong understanding of web accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 AA minimum, Section 508 compliance)
• Experience with automated frontend testing strategies including unit, component, and end-to-end testing
• US Citizenship required

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with frontend build tooling like Webpack, Vite, pnpm, or npm
• Familiarity with frontend infrastructure, CDN strategies, and asset optimization
• Experience with state management patterns and asynchronous data handling
• Knowledge of API integration patterns, GraphQL or REST
