Key Responsibilities
- Teach primary level students through well-planned, engaging, and developmentally appropriate lessons.
- Deliver learning experiences that support academic progress, curiosity, creativity, confidence, and social responsibility.
- Plan lessons aligned with curriculum expectations while adapting instruction to meet different learning needs.
- Use assessment, observation, feedback, and progress data to guide teaching and improve student outcomes.
- Create a positive classroom culture where students feel safe, included, motivated, and ready to learn.
- Support literacy, numeracy, inquiry, communication, collaboration, and critical thinking across daily classroom practice.
- Work with colleagues to share outstanding teaching strategies, strengthen planning, and maintain high learning standards.
- Build strong relationships with parents, students, teachers, and school leaders to support achievement and wellbeing.
- Contribute to extra‑curricular activities, community events, enrichment opportunities, and wider school life.
- Role‑model the values of integrity, empathy, and fortitude in all professional interactions.

- Follow safeguarding requirements, GEMS policies, school procedures, and professional codes of conduct at all times.
Ideal Profile
- BEd or Bachelor's degree with PGCE, PGDE, or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Proven experience teaching primary level students.
- Strong understanding of primary teaching methods, classroom practice, and student development.
- Proven track record of outstanding learning and teaching.
- Creative and enthusiastic approach to lesson delivery and student engagement.
- Reflective, solution‑focused mindset with willingness to collaborate and share best practice.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for working closely with colleagues, students, parents, and school leadership.
- Ability to support inclusive learning and meet the needs of students with different abilities.
