Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging KS2 lessons that support strong academic progress and student confidence.
• Create a positive, inclusive, and well‑managed classroom environment where every learner can participate and grow.
• Use effective teaching strategies to meet the needs of students with different abilities, learning styles, and backgrounds.
• Build curiosity, creativity, resilience, independence, and critical thinking through well‑structured primary learning experiences.
• Integrate sustainability themes, environmental awareness, and real‑world learning links into classroom practice where appropriate.
• Assess, record, and report student progress using clear evidence to guide planning and targeted support.
• Use ICT, classroom resources, and creative teaching tools to improve engagement and learning outcomes.
• Work closely with colleagues to plan curriculum units, share best practice, and support phase development.
• Communicate regularly with parents to support student wellbeing, academic progress, and personal development.

Ideal Profile

• B.Ed, Bachelor's degree with PGCE, PGDE, or equivalent recognised teaching qualification in Primary Education or a related field.
• Experience teaching KS2, upper primary, or a similar age group in a school environment.
• Strong knowledge of primary curriculum planning, assessment, classroom management, and effective pedagogy.
• Ability to deliver high‑quality lessons that motivate students and support measurable progress.
• Creative and enthusiastic teaching style with interest in sustainability and future‑focused education.
• Excellent communication skills for working with students, parents, colleagues, and school leaders.
• Confident using digital tools and classroom technology to enhance learning.
