As part of our regional expansion, we are seeking a Pre-Sales Engineer – Backup Power & Data Centre to strengthen our technical operations and support growth in the Middle East Region.

Role Summary:

This role will act as the key technical interface between GIGANET, its customers, and partners. You will design and present reliable, cost-effective backup power solutions tailored to project specifications. This position requires strong technical expertise, commercial understanding, and the ability to align client requirements with optimal solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead all pre-sales activities related to backup power solutions across the region.
  • Define project technical requirements and develop customized solutions that meet client expectations.
  • Prepare detailed technical proposals, drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOMs) for tenders and project bids.
  • Conduct Site Surveys as and when Required.
  • Deliver presentations, demonstrations, and technical workshops for clients, consultants, and partners.
  • Closely work with consultants and end-users for design, sizing, and compliance documentation.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with consultants, contractors, and Partners to secure brand approvals and project inclusions.
  • Provide technical training and product enablement sessions for internal teams and channel partners.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, standards, and competitor activities to strengthen proposals and solution positioning.
  • Support the sales closure process by offering technical validation and customer assurance during final negotiations.

Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Power Systems, or a related technical discipline.
  • 3–5 years of experience in a pre-sales, solution design, or technical support role within the Backup Power & Data Centre industry.
  • Proven track record in preparing and winning tenders and RFPs in the power sector.
  • Strong understanding of power distribution, load analysis, and system integration.
  • Knowledge on Data centre cooling / HVAC and other systems will be an added advantage.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools, Microsoft Office, and AutoCAD is an advantage.
  • Ability to travel regionally across the Middle East region.
  • A proactive, organized, and customer-focused professional with attention to detail and a commitment to excellence.
