Job summary

NewRocket is seeking a Power BI specialist to design, develop and deploy advanced dashboards. You will model data, write DAX calculations, and integrate sources such as SQL Server, Azure, and Excel. The role requires 4–6 years of Power BI experience and a strong data warehousing/ETL background.

The candidate should work US shift timings and deliver secure, scalable BI solutions while training end users and collaborating with data engineers and analysts.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or advanced technical degree required.
• 4-6 years of industry experience in Power BI, data visualization, DAX, SQL and data modeling.
• Proficiency in the Microsoft BI stack including Power BI and Power Apps.
• Expert knowledge of data modeling, DAX, and Power Query.
• Strong knowledge of SQL Server for data manipulation and extraction.
• Deep understanding of data warehousing and ETL processes.
• Ability to work US shift timings.

Responsibilities

• Gather and understand business requirements for data visualization and analysis.
• Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to acquire, clean, and transform data.
• Design, develop, and deploy advanced Power BI reports and dashboards.
• Create and maintain efficient data models and datasets in Power BI.
• Develop custom visualizations and calculations using DAX and Power Query.
• Integrate Power BI with various data sources such as SQL Server, Azure, and Excel.
• Ensure data security and compliance with best practices.
• Provide training and support to end users on using Power BI.
