ADC in Abu Dhabi is seeking a seasoned Technical Leader to guide poultry breeding, hatchery, broiler and layer production operations. You will develop and implement best practices to boost flock productivity, health and farm performance, and advise management on strategy and technology adoption.
The role requires 8–12 years of progressive poultry experience, with a focus on breeder, broiler or layer operations, and a track record of technical leadership.
Provide expert technical guidance on poultry breeding, hatchery, broiler, and/or layer production operations. Develop and implement best practices to improve flock productivity, health, and overall farm performance. Advise management on operational strategies, technology adoption, and production optimization. Support the planning and expansion of poultry production facilities and breeding programs.
Develop breeding, incubation, brooding, grow-out, and production management programs. Monitor key production indicators, including fertility, hatchability, feed conversion ratio (FCR), mortality, growth rates, and egg production. Recommend improvements to flock management, genetics, housing, and environmental controls. Optimize production schedules and flock performance throughout the production cycle.
Develop and oversee biosecurity programs to prevent disease outbreaks. Collaborate with veterinarians to establish vaccination, disease surveillance, and treatment programs. Analyze health trends and recommend corrective actions. Ensure compliance with animal welfare standards and veterinary regulations.
Provide technical recommendations on poultry nutrition and feeding strategies. Evaluate feed quality, formulations, and consumption patterns. Work with nutritionists and suppliers to optimize feed efficiency and production performance.
Analyze production data and identify opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency, and profitability. Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and technical guidelines. Lead root cause analyses for production issues and implement corrective actions.
Bachelor's Degree in Poultry Science, Animal Science, Veterinary Medicine, Agriculture, or a related field. A master's degree or specialized certification in Poultry Production, Animal Nutrition, or Veterinary Science is preferred.
