Job Purpose

In this role you will:
  • Drive change in the ways of working in collaboration with Delivery practice experts and IT Portfolio Leads and by building strong relationships with managers, executives and other key stakeholders to transform the traditional portfolio management into a Lean portfolio management practicing objective milestones and lean budgeting principles.
  • Act as a communication and advisory liaison regarding delivery practice, process compliance, and financial governance and build a strong partnership between portfolio management, Product Delivery Managers and Product Delivery heads (VPs) in governing the delivery of commitments to the business.
  • Implement framework for funding governance in collaboration with Finance stakeholders, track performance across portfolios and provide data‑driven insights to senior stakeholders.
  • Support preparation of the annual IT investment budget with scenario planning and decisions in collaboration with executives, Business Owners, Portfolio stakeholders, and Enterprise Architects while ensuring alignment to the business objectives, strategy themes and technology roadmap.
  • Design and implement a consistent approach to maintaining schedule, resources, budget and metrics for managing portfolio performance to defined goals. This includes driving consistent processes and practices that are being adopted and championed across portfolios including capacity plans, tracking expenditure and recovery of costs on an ongoing basis.
  • Establish systems and reporting capabilities in collaboration with the Tooling team to ensure smooth deployment of the approved investment funding. Provide direct support to people operations in hiring and flexi‑sourcing the right skills at the right time based on the demand management process.
  • Drive transparency by enabling faster and more informed decision‑making through higher data visibility and data‑driven insights. This would include timely and accurate reporting of investment performance and communications (e.g. guidelines, governance decisions/process) to stakeholders.
  • Lead a team of IT Portfolio Leads, leveraging their knowledge and relationships with managers, executives, and other key stakeholders to drive new ways of working. Transform the traditional portfolio management capability to support multiple delivery models based on an industry‑standard framework.
  • Collaborate with HR, P&L, Finance and other Business PMOs on governance, processes, and tools to drive knowledge sharing, synergies and efficiencies across Emirates Group.
Qualifications
  • Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent) and experience in Information Technology, Portfolio Management Office - 8+ Years
  • Professional certifications in recognized process improvement and knowledge management frameworks (i.e., Lean Six Sigma, CCMI, or equivalent) are strongly preferred.
  • Portfolio/programme management supporting CMMi for traditional and SAFe (or equivalent framework) for Lean delivery models.
  • Portfolio management experience in supporting delivery of business IT solutions with financial governance and tracking the delivery of tangible value.
  • Proven leadership in leading enterprise or IT‑wide portfolio management with strong people management skills.
  • Strong written and spoken English communication skills, negotiation skills, and ability to interact with all levels in the organisation.
  • Well‑versed in tools like Planview, JIRA for Lean Portfolio Management of technology projects and programmes.
