Wood is currently recruiting for a PMC Senior Site HSE Engineer to support our ADNOC offshore project in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Due to the nature of job, it is offshore based with 6x3 rotation.

Key Responsibilities
HSE Leadership & Compliance
  • Ensure full compliance with project‑specific HSE plans, client requirements, and international standards.
  • Act as the primary HSE focal point at the offshore site, providing guidance and leadership to all contractors and personnel.
Risk Management
  • Conduct hazard identification and risk assessments for all offshore activities.
  • Implement and monitor risk mitigation measures to maintain a safe working environment.
Incident Management
  • Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.
  • Maintain accurate records of incidents, near misses, and lessons learned.
Audits & Inspections
  • Perform regular HSE audits and inspections of offshore facilities, equipment, and work practices.
  • Ensure timely closure of audit findings and non‑conformities.
Emergency Preparedness
  • Oversee emergency response drills and ensure readiness of personnel and equipment.
  • Coordinate with site management for effective emergency planning and execution.
Training & Competency
  • Deliver HSE induction and refresher training for offshore personnel.
  • Verify competency and certification of staff and contractors in line with project requirements.
Reporting & Documentation
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly HSE reports for PMC and client review.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of HSE activities, permits, and compliance records.
Contractor Management
  • Monitor contractor HSE performance and ensure adherence to contractual obligations.
  • Facilitate HSE meetings and toolbox talks to reinforce safety culture.
Continuous Improvement
  • Identify opportunities for improvement in HSE processes and practices.
  • Promote a proactive safety culture across all offshore operations.
Education
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or related discipline.
Certifications
  • NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) or equivalent.
  • ISO 45001 Lead Auditor certification preferred.
  • Offshore survival and medical certification (e.g., BOSIET, HUET).
Experience
  • Minimum 10–15 years of HSE experience in oil & gas projects, with at least 5 years in offshore environments.
  • Previous PMC (Project Management Consultancy) experience is highly desirable.
Knowledge
  • Strong understanding of international HSE standards (OSHA, API, ISO).
  • Familiarity with offshore safety regulations and emergency response protocols.
